We are Singaporean operated hostel providing SAFE, CLEAN and COMFORTABLE accommodation for backpackers and travellers in Hainan, China. Located in Dadonghai, Sanya, we are just a very short walk(3 mins)to the beach. By day, where all the sea activities begin and by night all the party starts. Our goal is to provide you with a wonderful experience to bring back home.We also offer surfing lessons, PADI scuba diving courses and outdoor adventures.
I stayed there almost a week. The bed is okay, And.It’s pretty close to the beach but kinda crowded. It’s a downtown area, you can find more or less everything around. The lady who cleans the room didn’t really clean under the beds. There were several arguments between customers and also staff, so it bothered sometimes. And there are quite a lot of families staying in the hostel and it might get loud and kids crying. I think bathrooms are super small comparing to the other hostel I stayed in Sanya.

I booked a nice single room with spacious private bath. Great lobby where you meet with other travelers. Good English spoken by the staff. Quality craft beer available at the bar. Very close to the beach.

I've never been in a noisier, dirty city. But this is a hostel review, not of the city. We were asked to pay cash on the spot instead of the usual "Today or tomorrow". Asked for towels, and told there were none. Had to go to a supermarket and pay a lot more than I expected, including a small mat to avoid tracking water into the room. Not a cupboard in sight. Had to live out of our suitcases for a week. Even a locker would have been handy. It was the low season and few could speak English. (no international travellers). Come on guys, turn on those stair lights! Ever heard of safety? Eating out can be expensive, but then I live in Thailand.

We turned up late at night and found this by chance as we were expecting it was a YHA, but that had moved or...we still don't know! So by default we decided to stay rather than look elsewhere in the rain. It was off season. The staff did not speak much English, but one did and we knew a little Chinese. They were very helpful and accommodating. We could not fault their service at all, as we had a few issues that needed solving and they did their best. The accommodation was basic, but clean and the beds were really very clean and comfortable and the air-con worked. I felt for the basic nature, it was a bit over-priced, especially as it was off season. Aside from this, I would recommend it for the nice staff and the location quite near the international airport, which can be reached by a cheap local bus, number 8.

I stayed in Lost Hostel for 5 days. The Hostel is located in a village next to Sanya Bay, which is 5 min off to the beach by foot. And it is not far from the Airport either, 10 mins by bus or taxi. The staff are welcoming, there are some good English speakers who can give you much advices for a trip in Sanya. Personally, I recommend Wuzhizhou Island and Yalong Bay as the best places to visit. I’ve learnt from the staff how to play “San Guo Sha” (the most popular card game in China which is derived from the legend of 3 kingdoms), a game to establish public relationships (Guan Xi) with native Chinese, sounds cool? Rooms are compact and clean, while you’d better bring your own toiletries (shampoo, shaver, toothbrush etc.) since they are not covered in the room fee. There is a small canteen on the top floor, the western style food is served. You can also play X-box 360 there, however I am not that interested in Video games. They provide free internet access (via Wifi). The computers can also visit a few popular websites (like facebook) which are usually blocked in China by using some special software. During the winter, the temperature in Sanya is usually between 70F and 85F, I feel cozy to lie in a hammock on the beach reading some books. Sanya Bay stretches over 20km, so it is not crowed at all, unlike Da Dong Hai Bay where many Russians stay. It is nice to have a jogging along the beach as well. In a word, if you are looking for a simple place with an amicable atmosphere next to beach, this is the one fits your taste.

I like this hostel, it is just on the beach. It is better to xiao dong hai to swimming and diving. Many people drink beer and talk every night. I will go back next winter.

We are a privately owned hostel-like hotel with nice location, great accommodation, newly set standard interior, safety and very friendly staff. We offer very neatly compact king size single-bed,double-bed rooms with and without balconies. The rooms are divided into ones with private and shared bathrooms. We have a free airport pick up service if your stay is over a week.
I loved my stay here. My friend and I stayed here for about 2 weeks in a 4 bed dorm, but because of the low season, we had it all to ourselves. The rooms were basic, but the friendly family atmosphere made up for it. We were even invited to have dinner with Louis and the gang one evening, then made pancakes together another with some of the other hostel stayers. I joined in with yoga every morning before breakfast, which I loved. The beach is a short walk away and so are all the restaurants and nightlife. All in all I loved the people here and would definitely recommend it to anyone staying Sanya.
