The oldest university in the world isn’t Oxford or the Sorbonne—it’s the University of Al-Karaouine, and you’ll find it in Fes el Bali. This walled city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will transport you back to medieval times. Visit the ancient maze-like quarters of the Medina to Fes el-Bali and the four imposing Gates of Fes, with their distinctive Moroccan tile work. You can walk, or, if you're brave, take a taxi—the daredevil drivers will have you hanging on for dear life.

Mingle with culturally curious travellers in a laid back, authentic Moroccan setting! Watch local Fassi artisans trade their handicrafts, hear the Call To Prayer reverberate around the ancient medina of Fez from our rooftop tent & breathe in air aromatic with Moroccan spices.Dar Rabha has dorms, family rooms and superior suites to suit travellers looking for an authentic Moroccan experience.
For the price this stay is amazing. The breakfast is some of the best we’ve had in morocco so far and everyone is so kind and willing to help. It’s in a great location for food, with ‘Made in M’ and ‘cinema cafe’ being my recommendations for close good food. If you want a drink, British saloon is near and serves alcohol (bit pricy though). Would recommend!

The three-bed private room was perfect for my two friends and me at the end of our week in Morocco -- air conditioning and a private bathroom for a very good price. The staff are extremely hospitable and always open for a chat. Ibrahim recounted a history of Morocco for us on the rooftop terrace which overlooks Fes old town. Hamza then helped us with travel arrangements from Fes. All in all a very smooth and pleasant experience. Make sure to stay in the touristy areas of the Medina and only ask shop owners for directions.

Finally, accommodation for young people in the medina! If you are interested in different cultures and wish to contribute to mutual understanding between people we would like to welcome you to our beautiful authentic Riad for young people. We offer a wide variety of activities and loads of culture to discover even on a tight budget! Our purpose is not to simply offer a place to stay, but to introduce you to the local culture, its history and its people, with the aim of bringing people together through the young generation, thus contributing to global peace and understanding.
Funky fez has all you want in a hostel, and for me it even had a bit more, with one night of live music that superated my expectations! I really recomend this place, super friendly staff, amazing food made by the resident morocan chef Samira (she really pours her heart out when she cooks those couscous)...and the view, wow. If I ever find myself in Fez again, this will be my top choice to stay the night or nights. By the way, it's insanely close to the Medina, but not so close that all you hear is people passing, the location is top notch for me. For those worried about hygiene, I have nothing to complain, saw them cleaning my room during the morning (a bit of a lazier day) bathroom and all, and soon as people left they changed all the sheets and made it prestine again. Above all, thank you Funky Fez staff you where incredible...there is now such thing as a "good boat" without a competent crew on-board :) Wish you the best and see you when I see you Francisco

I loved my stay here. I stayed at a Hostel just outside the Medina which was not a pleasant stay, and so I came here. The Owner Kareem is a legend, and Rhalia is a sweetheart. The rooftop terrace has amazing views over the Medina, and with a seating area for tall the guests to socialise and drink. I had such a fun, amazing time here that everyone felt like family after a week. I will be back and try the 45 spices again :P

downtown hostel fez is located in the heart of old Medina, 10 minute from Bus station and 1 minute from Blue gate one of the famous gate in fez and also few steeps from Quran school [medrassa Bouaanania]. Clean rooms with good good view terrace, free wiifi access and helpful staff too.
Calm hostel just outside the medina. The room was nice and clean. They have some super breakfast and a beautiful terrasse. Toilets are not the best but usable and you will always have hot water to shower! We felt very welcome, thank you Mohamed for your hospitality and kindness

Hostel amir it's a small building located inside the largest madina in the world. The house frominside it's simple but it's big opportunitie for traveller where they can exchange theire life and enjoy fes style houses and moroccan culture .
If you're looking for a nice and well-located hostel with friendly Staff in the heart of the old medina of Fez, then Amir Hostel is the right choice. The rooms are not only clean, neat and equipped with AC, but perfectly ornemanted in the Orientalist tradition. The view from the rooftop is just amazing. One perk about staying in this hostel is that they organize excursions to the Sahara desert for very reasonable prices. They also offer mouthwatering breakfast for free. I will definitely come back.

Have you wondered where you should stay to experience and immerse into the day to day local life? Fes Touria Palace is the place.it is a comfortable and a peaceful place where you can relax after a full day of walking in the Medina or driving. This place is beautifully decorated and manage by two young, knowledgeable and very energetic men. You are sure to feel at home with Mondir and Ahmed taking
Firstly I would point out the human touch that you get here. For anything and everything there is support provided by the staff. Secondly the location. One cannot get a better feeling of staying within the Medina. Shopping to eating to just casual walking around in the Medina, everything is just few metres away. Sumptuous breakfast included. Super efficient train station pick up and airport drop. We would love to return to Fez and stay in the same place

Welcome to Hostel Dar Jannat! Mingle with culturally curious travellers in a laid back, authentic Moroccan setting! Watch local Fassi artisans trade their handicrafts, hear the Call To Prayer reverberate around the ancient Medina of Fez from our rooftop tent & breathe in air aromatic with Moroccan spices.
Located near the blue gate - lots of shops and restaurants - this hostel was great. Clean, quiet, but still a chance to meet others. Rooftop terrace and a full breakfast included. We were offered an upgrade for free. The staff were amazing and helped us sort out how to spend our time in the city. Would highly recommend for a nice hostel where you can get a good sleep!
