This is one place which will remain etched in my mind forever! The hostel is located in a beautiful lush green village with mountains all around. It is actually a very old house (more than 80 years old) which is now converted into a hostel by adding a wooden floor to it. The rooms are nice and clean, one with Bukhari (Fireplace) to keep people warm in winters and the other rooms are completely made up of wood and offer nice view. I planned to stay there for a night but end up staying for around 6 nights and still did not want to leave! This should pretty much tell my experience at the place. Apparently, I was not the first one to stay there longer than planned. The hosts (Tshten and his family) are lovely, kind and helpful. They made sure that I have a smooth, comfortable stay, get to eat the best and visit the best places around the village. The food was not just tasty but also organic, from milk to butter to vegetables to almost everything I ate there, one can literally go with Tshten to the fields and get whatever one feels like eating and cook!! A big thanks to Tshten for taking me to the other villages, to the local dairies where I got to see the butter and chirpi making process, showing me the local wine/drinks (Raksi and Chaanng) making process and for the small treks we did. And, also to Badi mumma, aunty and uncle for the delicious food and for teaching me how to cook momos!! It is a must visit place where one can take a break from work, internet and get to engage and experience the Sherpa's culture and life. For cat lover, there are two very friendly and cute cats!!!!

Female run fantastic place in the heart of the city at very nominal rates. Alcohol is not allowed there, good is good. Road is steep as it's hilly area, so suggest to take a cab or coolie of you luggage. Best place if you are traveling solo and looking for nice place on budget. I stayed in the 5 bed dorm.

Mountain bike rental store and backpackers hostel situated in Ghoom, Jorbunglow, right on the way to Chatakpur. Want a get away from the large crowd of Darjeeling? You can rent a mtb and go to several tourist attractions such as Tiger hill, Chatakpur, Lamahatta, Sukhia Pokhri and many more undiscovered areas. Darjeeling town can be reached via shared cab and the Jorbunglow stand is just 200 metres away from the Hostel. Hiking, Trekking, Hardtail Mountain bike tours are also conducted in Bunk&Trails, we look forward to hosting you.

We visited this homestay in December 2019. Really according to me, it was one of the homestays is Mirik which is situated in a silent zone. Away from Mirik city, in-between nature, hills, and orange farm its the best place to enjoy your holidays. I will suggest this to all the visitors who want to feel nature from close.

They just fooled people with their copied pictures in YouTube and basically it’s the worst hotel I have ever been to. People who are in charge of the hotel are drunk in the morning no room service, alloted rooms are not given when reached the hotel and the rooms are not worth of 1500 it was actually of 500 and GST they are charging but no bill they are giving… pathetic hotel, pathetic location dnt go.

me and my husband booked this property because we thought it would be great to stay in those forest cottage, the site had beautiful pictures of the property. Location was not easy to find. the cottage is nice to see but way too cold inside. the carpet is uneven where i tripped many times.the bed is too hard. we didn’t use the shower and hated to use the toilet as no hot water, I have never seen such small hot water greaser which gave like just a mug of hot water.the water taps were tied with a rubber band so didn’t touch it. we asked for a portable heater as room had no heating and is strange taking into consideration the whether and the place . those rooms should nad must be centrally heated. the heater was chargeable which was ok as we were freezing. food was good and the server were nice. we paid for a bon fire but couldn’t be outside for long as it was freezing cold. the stay was alright we thought before check out. But our stay was completely spoiled when suddenly someone came and told us we broke the heater without any proof. they said the heater leg is broken and it is also short circuit. i said fine i can pay for the damage but electric short circuit i wouldn’t know. when the bill came they had charged me full price of a new heater. i called for the manager. some guy came and asked us to pay or take the heater to town and repair and bring it back. he is the most rude and unprofessional owner i have met in my life. he wouldn’t listen to us . the worst customer service. we saw that he is adamant and would not listen to anything we were saying so we said we will pay and leave. we paid a lot of money for room, food, heater and bon fire. our stay was completely spoiled by this man RUPUM. we will never stay here or recommend any one to experience such a disaster customer service. me and my husband come from hospitality industry and we do not treat or talk to customer like this. very disappointed and bad memory of this place.
