Banff and Jasper national parks are connected by the Icefields Parkway, one of the most scenic drives in the world. We are a modern Hostel located in the beautiful Rockies. We offer dormitories and private rooms set up for a exceptionally comfortable stay. Located in the Shops of Canmore, we are perfectly situated close to so many great amenities and a quick walk to downtown!
Great hostel. Everything is really well thought-out: lots of kitchen supplies and fridge space, clean bathrooms, comfortable beds, convenient lockers, a shelf and ledge in each bed, etc. The common space is great for relaxing and chatting, with beautiful views of the rockies.

Welcome to town! The new HI Jasper hostel on Sleepy Hollow Road is now open! Our newest hostel is a short walk from downtown Jasper and designed for today's backpacker, with shared rooms for four, private ensuites and family rooms. Don't miss our on-site café!
We were on a quick tour of the parks from Edmonton thru Jasper/Banff with skiing at Sunshine. Stayed at the hostel for 1 night. The hostel is very modern and comfortable. Reasonable walk to main street and ammenities. Very clean rooms! Friendly staff! Shared bathroom between 2 rooms. Cafe and very large/modern kitchen for self cooking. Elevator for mobile challenged. Pool table and lovely lounge area to hang out. As a hostelling experience goes this was great! Free parking as well and lock up area for equipment although we just transferred to the car overnight.

11 room new hostel located on Jasper downtown main street, centrally located. Various types of rooms are available. All rooms are equipped with duvets and poly cotton sheets. Each bed is equipped with personal reading lights and USB compatible charging stations. All bunk beds have privacy curtains. Some rooms have private bathrooms while others are shared.
My experience was very positive at Jasper Downtown Hostel. The staff were attentive and friendly, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable as was the kitchen. Also, the hostel is very well located so it's very easy to get around and find everything you need. Highly recommended!

Actually my experience was 5 of 5. I was eating at the restaurant and loved my meal - Thai Veg stir fry. The seasoning was exceptional. The price was fair. The servers were friendly and efficient. And lastly the atmosphere was simple and welcoming. As a vegetarian, I am rarely impressed with restaurant fare. Kudos to the chefs!

HI-Canmore is spacious, warm and inviting with exceptionally clean facilities! We have two gas fireplaces, plenty of space to spread out and a relaxed atmosphere. The kitchen is very clean, well stocked and has commercial-quality appliances. The dorm rooms are low-capacity, sleeping 4 to 6 people per room and are very comfortable.
The hostel had a very clean, well equipped kitchen, comfortable and well decorated communal areas and an absolutely stunning view. The outdoor areas (patio and benches) were perfect for eating meals, reading a books, etc. when it wasn’t too cold out. The hostel is in a great location as it is a short drive into town, but doesn’t have the noise of cars/trains/people as you would in Canmore. The big downside of the hostel was the beds. They simply weren’t very comfortable. Furthermore the rooms are not well designed. I was in a private room with my family, which meant privacy wasn’t an issue. Privacy curtains, reading lights and personal outlets would make the rooms better for sharing. Despite the downsides, should I ever be in Canmore again, I would again choose to stay at this hostel.

Is your holiday travel budget not going far enough?Having difficulty keeping to your travel budget? Need a cheap accommodation solution so you can see everything in Banff and not have to sleep in a tent? Is staying Lake Louise too expensive for you? And the idea of camping in the unpredictable mountain weather unappealing? Did you say yes to anyone if not all of these questions? You should stay at the wilderness hostels along the Icefields Parkway.Icefield Parkway Hostels - HI Mosquito Creek Wilderness HostelHI-Mosquito Creek Wilderness Hostel is a small “off-the-grid” 24 bed hostel located 29 km north of Lake Louise – a 20 minute drive on the Icefields Parkway -Highway 93 North- which links Banff and Jasper National Parks. This is your chance to see the Canada you imagined, the real Canadian Rockies at HI-Mosquito Creek Wilderness Hostel with dorm beds.
This is NOT a party hostel. It is a great wilderness hostel where you actually talk to people, and sit around a campfire or light up the wood fired sauna, rather than stare blankly at your phone like other hostels. It is small, 2 coed dorms each having 12 beds, but even the dorms are quiet due to the absence of late night partiers. A decent kitchen with fridge, stove and cooking utensils, a common area, and great manager(s) make me recommend this hostel highly for those looking for a rustic, yet comfortable night’s sleep.

Customer service simply doesn't exist at this place. Our dedicated fridge space was never cleaned out, ever. Nobody is ever at the front desk. The room was not the one we were shown we'd be given. Issues with payments, Terrible communication. Wifi wouldn't even load a YouTube video.
