Stare Mesto, the Old Town of Slovakia's capital, whisks visitors back a few centuries as they wander cobblestone streets, admire the Baroque architecture, enjoy summer and Christmas concerts at Old Town Hall and while away time at cafes and restaurants. Venture beyond for more sites, including the 15th-century hrad (castle) with its treasury and history and music museums, the Slovak National Theater and the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Slovak National Gallery, housed in an 18th-century palace.

The Wild Elephants Hostel is not just a cheap bed in a great location. We offer you an experience unlike any other. Our volunteers are backpackers who would like to involve you in various daily activities, cook you delicious dinners and take you for a wild night out in the best local venues of Bratislava. The inclusive social environment we work on will easily make you a part of your new home away from home shared with up to 40 of your future friends. We might NOT be fancy, newly furnished or even professional, but we love what we do and we share this love with everybody who seeks an open minded place to have fun and meet people. We are right in the old town on the 2nd floor of a 200 years old historical building. Therefore we do not have an elevator, what we do have instead is a hip place with spacious common areas, artistic walls, well equipped kitchen, comfortable smoking area, table foosball, time machine, big banana room, etc.
It’s not a perfect place but very nice and the staff are lovely, always activities to meet people etc. Tys is a legend. Made me feel welcome on the first day then showed me the best club in Bratislava.

They had every detail just right. They had a towel for use and a mini bit of shampoo on the bed. The place has everything. Laundry. Luggage storage. Great kitchen and lounge area. I love this place. Our room was very quiet. No street noise at all. We had a fridge and mini kitchen on our floor and had use of the very large downstairs new kitchen.

Thanks to the perfect location at the edge of down town pedestrian zone, our new hostel is the ideal base for you to sightseeing and exploring of Bratislava highlights. Enter its outstanding generous common spaces and enjoy cozy atmosphere of our guest rooms and dorms.
Owner and staff are very knowledgeable about the area and happy to help. Beds are comfortable and the social area has a big TV, Netflix and all that, and the hostel is right ok one of the main streets. I have stayed here lots of times and keep coming back.

Hotel was very close to train station so very useful for me. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful and spoke great English. The room was smart enough but could have done with cleaning out before we got there as the floor hadn't being swept. Reasonably priced and a good sized community room down in the cellar. Would stay again in this hostel however Bratislava is a place I don't plan on visiting again. Overall good experience of the hostel

CHORS is the first art boutique hostel in Europe that offers accommodation in exclusive capsules. Capsule accommodation is a modern and minimalist trend that combines the social experience of lodging in the hostel while creating perfect privacy. Capsules, or PODs, are separate cells or boxes for guests to stay in.
Perfect central location with plenty of great restaurants and pubs nearby. Modern, spacious and clean rooms. Friendly and knowledgeable staff members. I'd highly recommend staying here, the private rooms really are like staying in a hotel!

Our studios/apartments are located in an historic, 19th century building near Bratislava’s ‘old town’ it’s completely renovated with all the conveniences which will make your stay memorable. Don’t feel like braving those cold winter nights in search of a decent place to drink? Don’t worry, our underground bar is perfect for a warm night in offering you a selection of beers, spirits and local specialties. So have a drink, some snacks and enjoy a good spot to have a quiet drink or to meet people and get your 'welcome drink', a FREE shot of Borovicka, the traditional Slovak drink.
We stayed in two apartments, RUM and BOROVICKA. Both apartments were very comfortable with bed, sofa and TV, kitchenette and bathroom, equipped with all you need. There is also a small garden at the back of the house. Although situated on the main and busy street, you don't here the noise thank to the tripled glassing. The owner sent us very useful instructions how to find the place, how to enter the main door and find the key, where to park etc. We paid extra for safe parking and it was really useful. It's a dog friendly place which was a big plus for us.

I stayed here with some friends so we had a room to ourselves. The room itself was spread out and spacious for 5 - although a little dark as the window opened into the hostel rather than outside. Room was quiet. Bathroom was a little dingy again due to no windows but was clean and suited us well. The location was good - easy to get everywhere and easy to access at any time. The main highlight for us was Maria who worked at reception, she went above and beyond for us, and we were very grateful for all of her help.

Brand new hotel from Jul 2018 just 400m from city center. Downtown Bratislava Hotel is set 400 m from Michalska Tower. The property is around 800 m from Bratislava Castle and 1.3 km from UFO Observation Deck. The property is 2.5 km from Incheba and 2.5 km from Ondrej Nepela Arena. Guest rooms in the hotel are fitted with a kettle. The private bathroom is equipped with a bath. All guest rooms include a desk. The restaurant at Downtown Bratislava Hotel specialises in international cuisine. The accommodation offers a sun terrace.
It's a nice hotel, good location and well organised. We were placed in the top floor, lovely layout and modernised, but if you are over 6 ft forget it... Low doors and ceilings everywhere. We asked to be moved and they were happy to put us in a room on the ground floor. Again no grumbles with it, other than than its an old building with ill fitting doors and windows, so you could hear every other guest coming and going in the night, and we were over the restaurant /bar, so 6am was lots of banging and noise as they stocked up. This probably sounds like a negative review, but paradoxically we would stay again... Just thought we would let you know what to expect

The butterfly house is here 30 years ago. The author of the Butterfly House is also the creator of a new stream of art and with his team he constantly focuses on the selection and creation of art motivating the cultivation of new personal qualities the practical application of new scientific knowledge, enabling creativity to grow and use consciousness to develop the ideal, beauty, youth and health of intellectual abilities (male / female) charm and abundant pranic nourishment. Art is a modern means, a new stream for creating an inspiring environment, flat, workplace / paintings, tables, doors, interior elements / to fine-tune the interior as well as a source of information and feelings, enabling them to develop their creativity, to perceive and use their consciousness as a liberating, creative superstructure of the mind.
TL;DR: by a really long margin the worst stay on any vacation. Would really not recommend. PROS: new mattress and sheets (although in few places stained), free parking space in front of "motel" (space for 6-7 cars). CONS: The host does not speak any English (maybe a word or two). There are 2 free APs (wifi-s) not of them covers the ensuite room. The kitchen area looked very sketchy - did not use. The ensuite is approx. 2.5x4m. It has a toilet and shower in a transparent/glass compartment - so if you are in 2, 1 person kinda needs to leave the room for the other to do its business. There is a plain electric cord extension right through the middle of the corridor which powers the "motel" sign... The list goes on and on...
