The Old Évora Hostel is located in the historical center of Évora, inside the city walls. You can see all the main attractions of the city within a small walking distance from our hostel. Giraldo Square - 290 meters (05 minutes) Roman Temple - 800 meters (11 minutes) Cathedral - 550 meters (08 minutes) Chapel of Bones - 600 meters (08 minutes) Garcia de Resende Theater - 600 meters (08 minutes) Park - 550 meters (09 minutes) We have two buildings, very typical of this region, with different types of rooms. If you come alone, with friends or as a couple, don't worry, we've got your back!
Old Evora Hostel was the perfect place! The owner was lovely! She was incredibly accommodating and happy to help in anyway she could. She made sure everyone had enough for breakfast and was always accessible. The beds and rooms are incredibly clean as well as the bathrooms. This is a great place for families, friends, couples and solo travelers. My friend and I really enjoyed our stay!

We spent a busy weekend here, in the UNESCO recognized city of Évora. The staff (we loved Joana) are so helpful with making phone calls , answering questions and booking tours. The rooms are clean and spacious. Private rooms with private baths are easy to rent. The hostel is located inside the old walled city and close to many interesting and historical sites. Lots of common spaces for relaxation, including terraces with views. There are a few good restaurants, with indoor and outdoor tables, in the small square right in front of the hotel. Only negative was that the beds were a bit hard - but that is a personal preference.

I have stayed in many excellent Hotels and hostels in Portugal and elsewhere. Which has been a joy. This Is is not a real Hostel. Very Limited reception hours. No one is there but a few CO living mostly commuters for work. False advertising about activities. Christina has absolutely the worst hospitality service I have ever encountered in all my travel years. Complete disregard of welcoming Someone in a new area. Repeatedly ignored questions asked like directions basic info in area. Most Of all filthy interior in bathrooms and dormitory. Smells and stains. Never have I been in a tourist accommodation where the “hos”pitality so lacking. Also credit card was given and deposit paid and still 2nd and third request for another app approval pay scheme demanded prior to arrival. In Fact my bank was suspicious of continued demand for processing and it locked my card for other accommodations. Since then it has been straightened out and now I can continue to use it, Very stressful. Be careful ... this could really mess things up.No where else have I encountered this. I have booked and payed for over a dozen. Again the worst experience ever. I asked for owners name and was threatened.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Origens Hostel for one night. All rooms are renovated has super nice design and are extra clean. Host of the hostel greeted us and was very nice. We get a private room with a shared bathroom but there is a different type of rooms to choose from. Definitely would stay here for more than one night. Also, next to the hostel you can find amazing cafe called "BON REMIDO CAFE" where you can get super delicious food for a low price and staff is extremely friendly.

Very good family run hostel. Its right in the center of the village... A few steps from the beach. Great welcoming process! The hostel has everything you need, from hair dryer to to fridge with ice. Two toilets/showers - very clean and spacious. The room was good . Not to spacious. The lookers were very good and the bed with individual electronic outlets. Free towels. Super WiFi .. very friendly staff. Would return for sure. 9.5/10. Disliked · A small breakfast would make this place a 10/10. Wish there was a desk in the dormitory room.

The Hostel consists of 3 dormitories with double bunk beds and individual lockers and 1 double room. Other than Accomodation, the Hostel has several recreational and service areas: A Terrace, a Games' Room, a Reading Room and a Common Room/Sitting Area as well as Bathrooms separated by Gender. The Reception Desk is open from 07h to 22h.
We enjoyed our stay in Evora and in Hostel Raymundo very much. The hostel has a very good location. Our room was very nice and clean and we had a nice view. The shared bathrooms are very clean and never busy. There is a shared kitchen and a roof terrace to enjoy the meal. Breakfast is included and very tasty. Staff is very friendly. We’d definitely come back.

we were passing by that appartment and out of sudden the landlord came by with some other guests. I asked him if it is possible to see the room. he opend the door of the appartment but did not allow me to enter the room. he insisted that I book a room on booking.com first. the only thing I wanted was to check the bed since I have serious back problems. then we left.

I don’t recommend if you are not by car. The bedroom was nice because of the view, otherwise the beds are single and the hot water wasn’t working before I made a complain. The breakfast very limited. It’s a place for students and not a family.

The entire stay was terrible - the floor is sloping, so the door doesn't reach the floor - you can put your arm under it - which leads to a lack of privacy, whenever someone passes in the corridors, you can see and hear yourself, etc. As soon as we got into bed we started to have huge itches and woke up all stung. The WC is private but exterior. I was going to take a shower BUT I saw cut nails and dirt on the floor. We try to check-out but it's only possible when a particular employee arrives, which was after 11am. Horrible, I will never come back.
