This was an amazing experience. My wife and three children and I had traveled from MS and this was definitely the highlight of our 10 day RV tour of Yellowstone and the Tetons. My kids (9, 11, and 13) were in love with their horses by the end of the ride. The scenery was spectacular and our wranglers were outgoing, professional, and put us at ease from the beginning. Would do this again and again, no reservations. Well worth the money! Thanks for the great ride and the great memories!

We booked a sleigh ride with dinner afterward. The entire operation is family run - 100 horses on about 100 acres. Cody explained how they train the draft horses, why they feed the elk, what to anticipate during the sleigh ride, and pointed out his personal horses. very informative and great scenery, too! Afterward, we were treated to salad, a truly massive perfectly grilled T-bone steak, and chocolate chip cookie. The entire family stopped by our table during the evening to chat and answer questions. Would do it again!

Yellowstone Wilderness Outfitters

A friend and I, who have ridden horses together for over 10 years, decided to take this trip through one of America's most beautiful parks on horseback last July. We felt prepared for long hours in the saddle and the inconveniences of camping with no facilities. The outfitters sent out detailed instructions on gear to bring, how to pack it, what to expect in camp and on the trail, and what they expected of us. They were very well organized and the horses were sturdy, matched to each rider, and acclimated to the demands of the trail. Mammoth mules were led the group with our tents and the kitchen gear. We could not have asked for a more compatible group of riders, and the wranglers produced some surprisingly good meals. I wish they had brought fly spray for the horses. The biting flies and insects were active later in the season than expected, due to warm weather, and my poor appaloosa was miserable. I used my insect spray on him to try to give him some respite from the bugs. Other than that, the trip was excellent and the scenery was gorgeous. We crossed several streams and passed through meadows of wildflowers. If you want to do this trip, make sure you get a lot of saddle time at home before you go.

By far one of the best experiences! We were in the area on a girls trip, made plans to take the class at Intro to Rodeo and had a fantastic time. It's such a beautiful location, and the horses were so amazing! Kara was super patient with us and taught us some new skills that we'd never experienced before. She is an awesome teacher and helped us feel comfortable around the horses. Before we knew it, our new skills had us riding, racing, roping and herding. The whole two-hour activity is organized and extremely well structured. The time just flew by! Highly recommend this activity for anyone visiting the area. Thanks Kara for such a fun day!

Our family of four (kids ages 11 and 13) did the lunch ride today. Our wrangler, Maddie, did a great job making sure our equipment was safe and we were comfortable. She was very nice and was happy to answer our constant questions. The trail ride starts in a wooded area and then climbs to a ridge. You feel like you are on top of the world. Beautiful mountain terrain and great photo ops. Tetons can be seen in the far, far distance. Lunch was simple and good - consisted of a lunch meat sandwich, chips, apple, 2 chocolate chip cookies, water bottle and celery/carrots to eat or share with your horse. Note that this is not a ranch. There are some horse trailers, a coral and some port-a-potties at the site, but no actual building. We all enjoyed the ride very much!
