Located just outside Doolin village on the outskirts of the Burren. Enjoy fantastic views of the magestic Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, Connemara Mountains and Galway Bay on horseback. Gallop along the beach on Ireland's west coast. Caters for everyone from beginner to advanced rider offering treks from 1 to 6 hours long.
I came to Ireland specifically to ride, so my expectations were fairly high. Mountain View exceeded them. Sweet, well-cared for, beautiful horses and LOVELY and welcoming guides, stunning views during the rides-- the beach ride was probably the most amazing thing I've done on any trip in my entire life. The weather was super rainy for me but I still had the time of my life. The weather didn't both the horses at all, Wear rain gear! A ride with Mountain View is a must if you're in the area (or if you aren't in the area, I came in from Dublin and was very glad I did).

We have a large selection of horses and ponies to suit all ages and abilities. Beginners are especially welcome and our carefully selected Irish Cobs are sure to give you a safe pleasant introduction to riding and the Irish countryside. Groups are kept small and are fully escorted and supervised at all times. The private trails are around the farm and up to the summit of Mullaghmesha, where, 580m above sea level, the views are breathtaking and cover a vast area of the West Cork coastline, (on a clear day, and barely your mounts ears in a good Celtic mist). Rides commence with an assessment form, then fitting with helmets, body protectors and riding boots, provided by us, before you meet your horse and head for the hills! - well maybe not quite so fast!
This was a brilliant day out and our kids loved it. Staff were excellent and very friendly. Very facilitating towards young kids too and horses were all very docile. Highly recommended for a family day out.

Welcome to our TripAdvisor page. I am Oliver Walsh and for the past 15 years I have welcomed visitors from all over the world to Flowerhill Equestrian Centre in Co Galway, Ireland. Visitors come for the hospitality, willing and fit horses, extensive cross country horseback riding facilities and relaxed and happy atmosphere. Flowerhill is based in 250 acres of beautiful east Galway country side. We are surrounded by the best possible cross country horse riding land - green fields, woods, the Kilcrow river, and wonderful wildlife. You can gallop across open fields, swim through the lake and splash in the Kilcrow river, scaring away the fish as you go. Our fences are a mixture of natural logs, stone walls, ditches and a variety of man made obstacles, including giant bananas! Most of the 150 fences include 2 or more options, so whether you are a nervous novice or confident competitor, we will cater for your needs. The riding standard varies from novice cross sountry, through intermediate, right up to advanced open. All riders need to be confident at walk trot and canter, therefore Flowerhil is not for the absolute beginner.Ride with us by the hour, a full day of 2 or 3 rides per day, or stay with us and chill out for a week or more. Rides usually go out daily at 10.00am and 1.30pm, and we change the rides to suit our customers needs. Horse riding variations include show jumping and dressage tuition, cross country workshops, exercising the hounds and hacking down to the local pub, where there are stabling facilities while we enjoy a pint and toasted sandwich. Private cross country or show jumping clinics for an individual rider can also be arranged. Over the years many of customers return again and again to enjoy the fun.
If you are into horses and want a great experience this is the place for you, the grounds are fantastic the staff great and the horses are magnificent.

Family Run Mountain&Beach Riding For All Levels Good Selection Of Irish Cobs Emphasis on Safety but above All else Fun Situated on The Dingle Peninsula
Our family of 3 went for a morning of riding through Ventry hills and beach last week. Due to how busy the beach was it was changed to the hill trek for safety reasons-it didn't matter one bit. It was a fabulous experience with beautiful and patient horses and spectacular views over Ventry bay and hills. The day itself was a lovely sunny one and it was a peaceful easy going trek. My husband and son were a little nervous to begin but the guides were great for putting us all at ease and took good care of everyone. I saw them disinfecting all the gear afterwards which was really reassuring. Thanks for a lovely morning guys! I really recommend it!!!

"Cead mile failte" Welcome to Sea View Equestrian, where you are warmly invited to experience our beautiful and peaceful corner of the Dingle Peninsula. We are situated in a small townland called Ballydavid a Gaeltacht (Irish speaking) area, only 5 minutes from Dingle town. It is known as one of Irelands most unspoiled gems. Our riding stables are to be found right underneath Mount Brandon where we boast stunning views of the Three Sisters and the Atlantic Ocean. Set on our farm that has been handed down through generations of family, we have kept the tradition and authenticity of the place going, with old stone buildings and stories of what it used to be like. Horses are our passion but we also keep a number of sheep, so depending on what time of year you visit us you may see lambs, shearing or the sheep dog rounding the flock up! At Sea View Equestrian we offer something for everyone, fabulous daily treks and riding holidays, small and personal groups, riding instruction, livery, training, clinics, competitions, farm and educational tours.
We searched for horseback riding on a whim as we were staging nearby and I can’t imagine not having done this as it was a true highlight of our trip. Katie and Sean were exceedingly friendly and approachable and made our ride personal by keeping it small (just my fiancé and myself), and asking us questions and answering ours. The views were remarkable- mountains with grazing sheep and streams where the horses took a drink. If you want something not touristy but still immersive and exciting, do at least an hour with these guys. Their dog, Snoopy, may even trot along beside you for the duration of your trip. Nothing could have been further from NYC, which was exactly what we wanted.

On holidays from Dublin for 4 days, one of the activities on top of my wife and daughters list was horse riding, so after reading the reviews of Drumcliffe equestrian, I decided to book online for the 3 of us and I was so glad we did. From the moment we arrived we were met with a friendly smile and witty banter from the man himself Pat. Pat is a character that makes you feel at ease straight. Helping Pat are his 2 daughters and a handful of other girls from the centre. Covid procedures are in place on arrival and once suited and booted, our horses were brought in and before we new it we were walking around the indoor arena learning the techniques and being led by Pats team. The horses are fantastic and very calm, our 7 year old had never been on a horse before and was loving Polly. Once we were confident enough, Pat took us out into the fields on our trek with his team, who were always in total control and we felt extremely safe throughout our trek. As you can see from the photos, my wife and daughter had a ball and are still talking about the experience and are already planning to take a day trip from Dublin to do it all again. If travelling to Clare, make sure to visit Pat at Drumcliffe Equesrian. You won’t be disappointed.
