Sicily Horse Tours is an association created in the aim to promote equestrian tourism in Sicily. We organize short tours and long trekkings.
I highly recommend this place. Luciano and Marialuisa were extremely welcoming hosts, and even if now due to COVID we had to keep safe distance, all went well and I felt very welcomed. They were very responsive over the phone, prepared everything for the trips before and after the excursions, and were good company. The horses seem to be taken care of in a good way, and they behaved pleasantly and calmly at all times. I made two excursions, one of 5 hours “La terrazza sulle Eolie”, which took us all the way up to Pollina, a picturesque rural town on top of a high hill, where we made a small stop to enjoy the view and get an ice cream together. Another tour I did was through vineyards (2 hrs) which was equally pleasant. I have lived in Sicily and travelled around quite extensively, but the views seen from our routes were still breathtaking! Small tip on getting there: from Cefalù the easiest and fastest way to get there is by following the SS286 until at the left-hand side there is an exit directly to the gate of Tenuta Luogomarchese (the agriturismo affiliated with SicilyHorseTours). Then the way will take you 15-20min. Don’t take the rural road via Sant’Anastasia, as Google Maps will probably tell you - while that one is very scenic as you navigate between vineyards, the road is narrow and it takes you about 15-20 min longer. Luciano and Marialuisa, grazie mille and I cannot wait to come back in the future!

Please read our 80+ reviews on our "accomodation" listing - We truly believe we can offer that personal touch which only a small family run business like ours can provide. Let us combine an exceptional mix of riding, good food, fun activities, culture and rare sights all over our region of Sicily to give you an unforgettable holiday. Pippa's Paddock is set just on the edge of the Madonie National Park, an area perfect for horse riding with tracks in all directions and lovely views. Often, we encounter herds of cattle and sheep being moved in the old traditional ways along our tracks. The riding provides a constantly changing scenario with events keeping us focused and interested. Our daily afternoon / evening excursions include visits to places of particular interest, various activities and end up with delicious local meals in the villages and towns we happen to be in. These vacations offer a unique blend of the usual riding holiday with a lot extra thrown in.
I took my University Equestrian Club for a riding holiday to the family run ranch Pippa's Paddock and we had the absolute best time. With riding every day as well as a varied selection of activities (water park, lake trip, hidden beach in Cefalu, pool day...) we were very happy that we chose Pippa's Paddock. You definitely get value for your money and make long lasting memories. We will be back next year for sure! If you like animals, great food and amazing company, this is the place to go for an authentic Sicilian holiday.

Sicily On Horseback's aim is to show travelers a different side of this special island. Not the touristic version of Sicily, famous for the beaches and coastal locations. They want to give their guests the chance to discover the real Sicily with its traditions, ancient and mysterious culture; helping them to get tuned with this land and its people, crossing old landscapes almost unknown.
