We took a 2 hours tour today at Polarhestar and absolutely loved it! We were a group of four on very different riding levels, and Karla, our tour guide, managed to find the perfect horse for each of us. She was absolutely lovely and made the whole tour a great experience for everyone. Well trained horses and good coffee and cake after the trip where the cherry on the cake. Thank you again, Karla, Stebbi and Polarhestar - we’ll be back!

Riding tours in a magnificent nature. Surrounded by lava, wet lands, sand dessert and birch forest we can offer an experience you will remember. We are a small family driven company with only 10-15 horses, therefore this fits small groups, families and friends. We will be glad to welcome you at our farm, you may also be welcomed by our lambs and dog which like new people :)

Eyjardalsa Horse Riding offers riding tours in North Iceland. It is located half way between Akureyri and Lake Myvatn, only 10 minutes from Goðafoss Waterfall.
Anna, the owner, operates a small business but this offers a personalized tour. She is a wonderful guide and her property is located next to fabulous scenery. There is sitting on a horse in a meadow and then there is riding a horse along rivers, overlooks and big sky. The Icelandic horses are smaller than american versions, Anna's were also experienced and as such would be safe for anyone - rookies, younger riders and older folks. She did let us trot with a little more speed a couple of times and we crossed the river a few times as she felt comfortable with our riding skills. Experienced riders will appreciate the views and the river crossings, rookie riders will love the safe feel of these horses and the ease of Anna's handling of the group, highly recommended!
