Italianate home of a once-prominent Cincinnatian is a fine example of how a well-to-do family lived during the late 1800s.

Birthplace of America's 27th president, now a museum containing momentos of Taft's personal life and political career.
Taft home and museum about this US President who also served on the Supreme Court. Very informative tour by ranger, with plenty to see and learn. Scavenger hunt for kids as well to keep them entertained during visit. Well worth the stop.

Heritage Village Museum is a living history museum depicting life in Southwestern Ohio throughout the 19th Century. Homes, out-buildings and equipment on the museum grounds were moved here from other locations in the region to be preserved and aid in telling the story of our recent past. Interpreters at the museum provide the facts and stories that bring the Village to life with nostalgic glances of days gone by. Visit the museum for guided tours, or see our website or Facebook page for information about special events, summer camps, school and scout field trips. Tour prices and village hours vary--check our website or call before you come.

After reading reviews on the Dinsmore Estate, my sister and I decided to visit this historical sight. My goodness, what a treat! Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and gracious and encouraged us to ask as many questions as possible! We will definitely return!

The Betts House, built in 1804 is owned and operated by the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the State of Ohio (NSCDA-OH), is Ohio’s oldest brick house still sited in its original location. At the Betts House, the NSCDA-OH offers programs and exhibits that promote historic preservation and education of the early history of the greater Cincinnati region, as well as programs that honor the legacy of brick-maker and original occupant William Betts and his family.

A kitschy faux-German village in Covington with lots of restored 19th century shops, restaurants, and homes.
Mainstrasse Village is unbeatable for lunch, dinner, a snack or dessert. So many restaurants from cheap eats to formal dining. Cleaner and safer than anywhere in Cincinnati. Safe both day and night. Great area for bar hopping and enjoying happy hour or late night food and drinks. Variety is the spice of life, and MV has variety and quality. Can't say enough good about this area. Most shops do close early, even on weekends. If you are going for the shopping, plan to go early. Many nice, unique shops. If you are visiting downtown Cincinnati, skip the typical and overpriced restaurants and bars, and take a quick walk across the blue bridge or a five minute Uber/Lyft to Covington/Mainstrasse Village. Over-the-Rhine is dangerous and your safety and fun are worth the short trip across the river.
