Visited this wonderful historical place on 14 February after 38 years. A place that reflects the memories of the first Indian Bengali Nobel laureate Rabindranath Thakur. Must give credit to the Department of Archeology, Bangladesh for their praiseworthy effort in maintaining the place so nicely. The exterior is well planned and constructed. The enterior is a little congusted though having few memoires and lots of pictures of the poet. One can drive down to the place following Dhaka-Kushtia road via Rajbari. It takes about five and half an hour. After visiting the place can fall back to Dhaka if wishes but it will be tiring. Better to pass a night at Kushtia or Rajbari. Its better to carry some dry food for lunch.

Buddha Dhatu Jadi was founded by U Pannya Jota Mahathero back in the 1995. It's been called as Golden Temple for it's colour & structure. It is one of the largest Theravada Buddhist temple in Bangladesh. The Bandaban Golden Temple belongs to the Theravada Buddhism.
My experience is in bandarban is out-of-this-world, it’s so diverse & cosmopolitan mountain area with 13 various ethnic group with different in clothing, culture & religions. every time when I go there it’s like an new place because there’s so many places in bandarban, it’s the most remote area in Bangladesh & thanchi upazila is more remote with 1000 sq km area population only 25,000 & density is 28 persons per square kilometre. There’s soo many waterfalls, mountains, creeks, streams, not mention in the tourist guides because most of the people don’t even know it exists. Buddha Dhatu jadi is one of the germs of the area. Its a beautiful area.
