The area is slowly starting to green up after the bushfires, it is as beautiful as ever. A lot of work has gone into building walkways along the coast line in town making for many parts an easy walk. It really is a very lovely area to walk and explore

Gippsland's Aberfeldy Four Wheel Drive Track is considered one of Victoria's greatest driving experiences. It combines rich history, striking landscapes and the thrill of touring on rugged, unsealed terrain. The Aberfeldy Track is made up of around 180 kilometres of road, creating a figure eight circuit around Aberfeldy.

Absolutely love this rail trail. Great for walking or cycling with a turnaround trip you can enjoy a Pub meal and the head back to the other end. Mirboo North to Boolara in horse back even. A must for any who enjoy fitness and fresh air

Just outside the Tidal River info and campsite and across the bridge is a large rock that really does resemble the head of a whale. It is best seen from the beach without going over the bridge but from wherever you view it enjoy

Experience the diversity of East Gippsland as this well maintained rail trail weaves over 100km past undulating farmland, tall forests, creeks, rivers and flood plains. Cross the historic timber railway bridges and enjoys views of the Gippsland Lakes before arriving at Orbost and the Snowy River.
Lovely ride from Bairnsdale to Bruthen which took 4 hours return. Sealed all the way from Bairnsdale to Nicholson.

Stayed again at Kilcunda caravan park and decided to walk towards Anderson this time as I had already walked to Wonthaggi and back several times. As it was such a good walk kept going all the way to Woolamai race course then back. Over 20kms of easy walking.
