We had the pleasure of staying nearby and that was perfect as this was the best bakery we found in Stockholm. Service was perfect and the selection huge. Everything we tried was great but the fruit danishes we simply superb.

While in Stockholm I went on a day trip to Tyresta National Park and absolutely loved it! There are a variety of trails of different lengths that are well marked and suitable for people of varying abilities/fitness. If you can I would definitely recommend seeing Lake Årsjön within the park. It is a beautiful lake and a perfect place to take a little break.

The combinations of furniture, art and decoration is splendid. There is a nice bar in the ground floor. The museum is mainly situated in the 1st and 2nd floor (bedrooms). Great kids room, lockers, gift shop. Plan at least one hour.

Spectacular, very good! The house was built in a Art Nouveau/ Secession style for a wealthy industrial and collector. His collection is outstanding, very high quality works by Swedish artist friends, by Munch and Danish artist Willumsen, and a sculpture garden. It is near the ferry to Nacka beach. A great place to walk, rest and simply the best museum in town.

Visit the medieval Stockholm, meet the people and hear stories from the everyday life, explore reconstructed brick buildings, warehouses and workshops. The museum is built around the around the findings from the largest excavation in Stockholm. Our underground exhibition features 55 meters of the original 16th century town wall, a medieval graveyard and a war ship. During the summer we are open Tuesday-Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm. Free admission!
This excellent free museum is located under the Stockholm Parliament & is accessible via steps & a lift off Norrbro, one of the bridges to Gamla Stan. It tells the story of early Stockholm amongst the ruins found when a proposed car park was excavated. It's very well thought out with both the history & day to day life of the cities residents explained in both Swedish & English. Given the early sunset at this time of year, combined with the cold, we found this a wonderful place to spend an hour late in the day. It's wonderful that it's completely free as this is one of the more interesting museums I have visited.

Welcome to Millesgården - an oasis just 15 minutes from downtown Stockholm. Millesgården is an artist home, a vast sculpture park with flower beds and fountains, art gallery, restaurant, antique collection and a museum shop.
Awsome and really nice place to visit outside Stockholm on a spring day as well as summer day Well worth the 150sek admisson fee to enter. And to not only the out door statues, you have inside the art gallery as well. If you are hungry of just want some cofee or tea there is a smaller restaurant with easier food.

We came by this place by accident walking in the park. Beautiful place, great lunch and great sandwiches. The bakery sells delicious baking goods and the store is a fantasy for people who loves gardening. We had wonderful weather and that gave us the possibility to roam the place. If you like gardening, definitely a place to stop by

The Unesco World Heritage Skogskyrkogården is beautiful all year round, much due to the unique way it is woven into the landscape. The cemetery never closes, so you can easily acces the World Heritage when you prefer, throughout the year. More than 2,000 funeral ceremonies take place at the Skogskyrkogården each year. This means that the five chapels are in frequent use and therefore closed to the public. If you are interested in the chapels and their interiors, come along for a public guided tour or book a private tour. We also have audio and visitor's guides, which you can download prior to your visit. Please visit our website for more information.
I enjoyed wandering around the cemetery on Christmas Day with unfortunately all chapels closed (Lewerentz, Asplund). The landscaping is remarkable and the attention to detail. The new crematory all in brick is another architectural highlight. The places are easily accessible from the Tunnelbana station named after the cemetery grounds.

Welcome to the Bergius Botanic Garden. Ideally situated at Brunnsviken, an inlet of the Baltic Sea, the garden is part of the city’s national park, protected by law to preserve natural and cultural values for the future. The primary objective of the Bergius Botanic Garden is to support teaching and research about plant diversity, but the garden is also a recreational spot and a source of botanical knowledge for all its visitors. With a history stretching back to the 18th century, the garden is today owned and managed by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and Stockholm University.
Beautiful gardens with all types of trees and plants clearly marked. Flower store Plantagen just next door and a really nice cafe too with coffee, cakes, sandwiches and a few hot dishes for lunch. Next to the water, a great place to just walk around. Free entry.

Don't miss this if you're visiting Norrtälje, the capital of Roslagen. An environment you can't see anywhere else in Sweden or maybe in the whole world. Amazing for both old and young. Highly recomended.
