Once a vital part of a mighty sea power, Positano is today a sophisticated resort on the central Amalfi Coast. Moorish-style architecture rises up steep slopes that gaze out on the Sirenuse Islands. Smart boutiques, selling fashions for visitors to display on Grand Beach, abound in the village. And it’s a great base for exploring the area—you can easily travel by boat to Capri, Ischia and the Grotta dello Smeraldo cave.

I've wanted to do this walk for years ,and finally I got the chance. I was not disappointed. We were blessed with beautiful sunny February weather. It takes a fair bit of travelling from Sorrento, but the walk was actually easier and quicker than I'd thought. We walked the route from Nocelle back towards Positano. We used the sunflower guide which I highly recommend. We took the higher route - where the path goes off to the right by a house with a cross in the garden - the signage takes you to the lower route at this point, but apparently the higher route is more spectacular which makes sense, and it was certainly very lovely! The cafe at the end of the route is basic but has a beautiful view too so a good place to stop off before doing the steps down to the road, which was definitely the more tiring bit of the walk. We caught the bus back to Sorrento from a stop at the bottom of the steps rather than in Positano.

We were staying in Priano duting summer of 2019 and were driving by Ceramiche Casola factory every day. We finally decided to take a look and could not resist from buying one of the beautiful tables from them. The hardest part was to choose the design as they were all so absolutely beautiful and unique. It took 6 montha and it finally came last week. We could not be happer!!! It by far exceeded our expectations! I want to spend every minute in the kitchen now admiring our new beautiful table and remembering our great time on the unforgetable Amalfi Coast.

In April 2018, my wife and I traveled to Italy for our 30th anniversay (the date below is incorrect, as I couldn't go back further). Enzo was our driver to and from the Naples train station, and for the drive along the Amalfi coast. He made our trip and experience so special. Extremely professional. Informative. Very helpful. He made several lunch and dinner reservations for us, including last-minute reservations at Palazzo Avino for lunch. We had a phenomenal table with a spectacular view. A most memorable lunch. He also was personally helpful in helping me learn additional Italian :-), and in helping me find some wonderful writing cards for our anniversary in Amalfi. His presence made such a difference.

Produciamo sandali artigianali fatti su misura fatti al momento, i materiali utilizzati sono pelle e cuoio con certificato Made in Italy, sandali gioiello con cristalli Swarovski. Tradizione tramandata da padre in figlio .
This place is amazing! We just happened upon it while walking down the road. You pick out your style of sandal and they measure you foot to the correct sole and then you come back in an hour or so and try on your sandals. They have you walk in them and you can adjust certain straps, etc. It is all VERY personalized and the materials are very high quality. They are worth. every. penny. I have worn the absolute crap out of mine and they still look incredible. The quality of the leather makes a difference. I would go back and buy more pairs if I could. These shoes will last you forever and are gorgeous! Plus its a cool experience to have hand-made sandals made right in front of you!

The local artist Giancarlo Angeloni offers guests wonderful scenery of Positano Coast, a careful selection of contemporary painters and young Italian talents. Paintings, sculptures and ceramics copyright for competitive prices. Visit us!
In September 2019 while in Positano, we enjoyed talking with Angeloni Giancarlo, the owner/painter, and purchased one of his oil paintings of Positano. The painting with its vivid colors now hangs in our home, and when I see it each day it is a lovely reminder of a beautiful town in Italy on the Mediterranean with its deep blue color. Thank you Mr. Giancarlo.

From Agerola, we hiked the famous trail: “path of the gods”; it's a 4-hour trail. We had good shoes for the trail. It was a very pleasant trail, with fantastic panoramic overviews on the Amalfi coast and on the beautiful and colorful villages of Nocelle, Montepertuso and Positano. The end of the trail was in the village of Positano, which is a very fine fishing village with many gardens and flowers, and small streets. Altogether, I recommend to hike “path of the gods”. It's the most breathtaking hike on the Amalfi Coast!
