Launceston's best range of Tasmanian Whisky and Gin. Local artists and friendly service Tasmanian Spirits- Launceston Souls
I was made to feel so welcome walking in and the bar tender was engaging and friendly. I had a glass of sparking wine followed by a Tassie whiskey. The jazz duo added a lovely atmosphere. I especially loved the 2 comfy sofas at the front of the bar. Will be back.

A great market with wonderful local produce. The market is medium-sized, and you could go over all the stores in an hour or so. A nice place to get some fresh fruits and veges, and breakfast as well:)

Franklin house probably doesn’t get as many visitors as it deserves as it’s a little way out of the town centre. There was a bus stop right out the front though . Well run by lovely volunteers it has some very interesting pieces and a beautiful garden. Just $10 to enter and free for National Trust members. Andrew met us in the hallway and gave us an insight into the history of the house then we walked around ourselves. There are information boards everywhere. A hidden gem.

Step back in time and see the vintage radios of yesteryear. The enthusiastic volunteer manning the museum is infectious with his knowledge and makes this a fun place to explore. Go and visit.

The Tamar Island Wetlands is an unique urban wetlands reserve just 10 minutes' drive from the heart of Launceston. An interpretation centre offers visitors the opportunity to learn about the value of the wetlands environment and the wildlife that live there.
I stopped here thinking i could spend 30mins wandering around the wetlands and stayed over 2 hours. It such a beautiful little spot to stop. I did the walk out to Tamar island, an easy flat boardwalk all the way with a few bridges along the way for viewing the black swans, ducks, water hens and other birds. There are plenty of spots to stop along the way for a seat and a gorgeous picnic bbq area when you get out to Tamar Island. A lot of work has and continues to go into the wetlands - i would definately reccommend stopping if you have some spare time on the western side of the Tamar

The vines first planted on the property in 1986 marked the beginning of the Relbia region producing premium cool-climate wine. Taste our range at our cellar door 7 days 10-4 (closed public holidays). Our range includes vintage sparkling, riesling, chardonnay, pinot noir, cabernet merlot and pinot gris.
We headed to Sharmans on our own self-guided wine tour after landing in Launceston that morning from Melbourne. There were very few people there just after 11am, so we enjoyed some great individualised service. We loved the wines, and the amazing view outside over the vineyard. With a wife who loves sweeter wines, Sharmans had a suitable Rielsing that was snapped up and taken with us. Will definitely return next time we are in Lonny.

Cinco is a libation lounge bar showcasing Tasmanian whisky, sparkling wine, cocktails, coffee, cigars and men's gifts. Tasting plates available of local cheese and charcuterie.
This is our goto place for a pre dinner drink in Launceston, where we can enjoy some special cocktails and drinks using only top quality specialist liqueurs, spirits, wines and beers that have been sourced through an intimate knowledge and passion that the owner brings to the bar. Having visited on many occasions, we have always been treated with absolute respect and felt a warm welcome on each occasion. The quiet and gently lit atmosphere also allows you to have an undisturbed chat with your partner and/or friends. As this is a very popular venue we find that it is always best to call and book a spot, especially on the weekends, otherwise you may be disappointed to find that Cinco's is booked out. Do not take any negative reviews of this fantastic venue with any credibility, as we can assure you that your experience will be absolutely memorable. A definite hidden gem in the Launceston bar scene.
