May 28, 2021 Concepcion Newsome

During the winter, Jackson Hole is a wonderland of snow skiing, snowmobiling and ice-skating. Summer in Jackson Hole is all about hiking, whitewater rafting, golfing and horseback riding. When you come down off the slopes, you can choose from recreation options like dog sled tours, sleigh rides and wildlife and nature tours. During the summer, you better get your energy level up because kayaking, hang gliding, hot air ballooning, mountain biking and stagecoach rides are just a few of the many options available. For climbers, hikers and nature lovers, the nearby Grand Teton National Park is an absolute nirvana. The towering mountains of the Teton Range stretch 40 miles, and include eight mountains over 12,000 feet. Keep in mind, too, that Yellowstone National Park’s South Entrance is only 90 minutes away, and another 45 minutes or so to reach Old Faithful. If you’re looking for some serious, fast-paced family fun in Jackson Hole, try the Alpine Slide, where you slide down 2,500 feet of Snow King Mountain in a bobsled. For a calmer experience, enjoy the Bridger Gondola, which takes tram riders from the Teton Village to heights of 10,000 feet. Golf enthusiasts have access to some great golf with tee opportunities at Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club, a Robert Trent Jones Jr. design and Teton Pines Resort Golf Course, designed by Arnold Palmer.

Our family did another 3 hour experience at the Jackson Hole shooting experience and had a GREAT time. With two teenagers, and 2 girl, 2 guys split - it’s all about safety and fun. Tim and Michael are such great instructors - so personable, great coaches and a lot of fun. They never relax on safety through the entire experience, which is important and just adds to the comfort level for even nervous shooters - like my wife. We shot numerous guns, both hand guns and rifles... shooting quarters at about 50 yards and targets with long range rifles at 600 yards. So fun! Thanks Tim and Michael!! See you guys again soon.

By far one of the best experiences! We were in the area on a girls trip, made plans to take the class at Intro to Rodeo and had a fantastic time. It's such a beautiful location, and the horses were so amazing! Kara was super patient with us and taught us some new skills that we'd never experienced before. She is an awesome teacher and helped us feel comfortable around the horses. Before we knew it, our new skills had us riding, racing, roping and herding. The whole two-hour activity is organized and extremely well structured. The time just flew by! Highly recommend this activity for anyone visiting the area. Thanks Kara for such a fun day!

Laurance Rockefeller Preserve

Reviewed By cscushman - Houston, United States

This is a great hike for the whole family. You can do a short hike to Phelps Lake or a much longer hike around the whole lake. Put lunch in your backpack and head off through a beautiful wooded trail along parts of a trickling stream. Make sure you take bear spray with you. I have seen bears on more than one occasion. After your hike, stop in at their visitor’s center to learn more about the Rockefeller family and their generous donation of land for our Park’s system. Make sure to save time to watch the all seasons slide show showing the park and it’s animals in all four seasons. Then step back into the zen like room where you can sit and listen to all the sounds of the many wonders of GTNP. They only allow so many cars to park in their lot. Get their early or take a book and wait in line, in your car, for the next parking place.
