You could spend your whole Chiang Mai vacation exploring the famous Night Bazaar. Once you’ve exhausted the art of the cheerful haggle, however, there’s plenty more to explore. The National Museum and Botanic Garden are great places to soak up some local culture and to breathe in the delicate fragrance of Thai orchids. In the city’s center, the remains of ancient walls embrace over 30 temples. Limber travelers can climb 300 stairs to Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, an ornate Buddhist temple in the hills.

Gernot Huber, founder of Yoga Mind Yoga Body, specializes in yoga retreats and in private yoga instruction tailored to your particular needs. Gernot can come to your location, or teach you at Chiang Mai Holistic in the Nimman area, or at M Studio south of the old city. Gernot has developed an integrated approach to yoga that incorporates insights from Iyengar, Ashtanga, Anusara, Forrest, and Kripalu yoga, from yogic and Buddhist philosophy, and from anatomy, physiology, and neuroscience. He skillfully integrates down-to-earth discussions of breath, alignment, anatomy, and awareness to convey the key concepts of yogic philosophy with clarity and humor to practitioners of all levels. Gernot helps his students maximize the benefits of their practice by emphasizing the mental dimensions of yoga as well as the physical, and the intricate connections between both. His dedication to tailoring his teaching to each student's needs have consistently garnered him high praise from his students.
I've looked forward to taking classes from Gernot over the past two years whenever I'm in Chiang Mai. His knowledge of anatomy and biological reasons behind certain yoga positions and practices is very appealing to anyone who has a science background. There is a spiritual side to be sure, but I have never know any other yoga teacher with this unique perspective. I was very pleased to learn Gernot is offering online yoga classes during the pandemic, and I would urge any yogi to try his classes. Thank you Gernot for putting your class online!

Rediscover pleasures and emerge anew at The Spa, where tranquility calms the mind, body and soul with multi-sensory massages, treatments, and body spas. Explore our fully-equipped fitness centre, overlooking an infinity pool and the Suthep Mountain sunset.
definitely feel pampered here and had a chance to relax... though many come to Thailand for the massages for incredibly low prices on the streets, I wanted the usual spa experience (and the cleaniliness) and you can get that here at half the cost of same treatments in the U.S. My husband and I had a couples one hour aromatherapy massage with Zee and Tay. I also opted for a body scrub on a different day with Ao. All three of them provided wonderful service. We were guests at the hotel, but even if you are not, still highly recommend this spa. Book early for optimal times. They had a special on purchase of spa items of at least 1300bht for a one hour massage- excellent deal and we bought aromatic diffusers as cute souvenirs for our daughters.

The spa was exceptional. The technician paid attention to painful muscles and did a wonderful job. The ambiance was perfect, quiet and gentle with beautiful music and scents.
