From boat to table this is the place to get the Big Islands Fresh Fish. Service was top notch in helping us select the right fish to take back to our place and grill. Price per pound can be a tad pricey, but you cant beat the quality.

We always enjoy a typical high calorie Hawaiian breakfast here. They serve excellent Kau coffee at least when they make it strong enough to enhance its flavor that many consider superior to Kona. The coffee is from Chef Allenâs wifeâs farm. We recommend the house-made corned beef hash or the loco moco. And, you canât beat the view of the golf course either.

In the mornings, the open-air bay view restaurant is home to a legendary breakfast buffet with made-to-order waffles and omelets, fresh tropical fruits and juices, healthy whole-grain cereals and tasty pastries. With the sunset, the ambiance changes as Ma
We went to twice this past week to the Manta restaurant for dinner. It is the most romantic place on the Kohala coast. My husband has severe shellfish allergies and they were able to give good suggestions and prepare his food without cross-contamination. The staff was lovely and welcoming. The food cooked to perfection - generous portions (but not too large). As a bonus, we were able to see the manta rays swimming along the shore after dinner. Thanks for taking such good care of us once again.

Gather as the sun sets over 'Anaeho'omalu Bay and delight in classic Polynesian entertainment featuring live music, imu ceremony (the unveiling of our main course from our underground oven), traditional dances of the South Pacific and a delectable selecti
Went here with a big group. We had reserved tables of ten people. They have an open bar, with good drinks that you can call, not your usual watered down Mai-Tais. They have Mai-Tais that are good, but you can order anything you want. The food was very good for this type of event, especially the pig. The show was informative and good, with a bit of audience participation. Loved the fire dancer. Good thing to do when you are in the area.

Like many hotel restaurants, this place is really overpriced, but our food and service were wonderful. I would avoid the seating on the patio that is on the other side of the walkway as there is a constant stream of people passing directly next to you as you dine.

My husband and I stopped here with friends for breakfast before a big day of sightseeing. We ate upstairs, open-air with a view onto the ocean and warm breezes. Most of us had the Big Island Basics breakfast and one had the Belgian Waffle. We all enjoyed our meal, plentiful servings! My husband did not care for the Portuguese sausage but I had plenty of bacon to share. Coffee was very good. Our service was friendly and prices reasonable. If you eat here, do note that the restrooms are upstairs, as we found at most multi-level restaurants we visited. I don't know if there was an elevator.

Went here for my birthday and it was amazing. The setting is definitely the best part and we saw an amazing sunset while we were there. The restaurant is basically just off the beach so you could go down and take photos. It's a little difficult to find because it is within a hotel. We went in July but think they are renovating the hotel as of September so would recommend checking if you can still get to it. It'd definitely more expensive than other restaurants in the area (though Hawaii is more expensive generally anyway) but is perfect for a special occasion. The atmosphere is lovely and they had live music as well which was great. You can sit indoors or outdoors too.

Fairmont Orchid's AAA Four Diamond Brown's Beach House restaurant is well known for incomparable Hawaii Regional Cuisine and a spectacular oceanfront setting. Our innovative cuisine draws from simple pure flavors of locally grown produce and a diverse var
We ate at Brownâs one night during our stay at the Orchid. The food was excellent, especially the Compressed Watermelon Salad Roasted Beet Salad and the Beef Filet Mignon. The Coconut Guava Chiffon was embarrassingly bad. Dry with little flavor. It was at the top of their list so we were expecting something special. However, I can give this restaurant a good score because, as a whole, it exceeded our expectations for a restaurant in Hawaii with this kind of location. If they had a 3 or 4 course menu like many restaurants have in Europe and Japan where you have the opportunity to try several of their dishes instead of having to do a share option with your fellow diners it would be so much better. We dined after sunset, but I think most people would have a better time before or at sunset.Mahalo for joining us at Brown's Beach House! We are happy to see all you enjoyed during your dining experience and appreciate you sharing your honest feedback regarding your dessert selection and our menu options. As we are always looking for opportunities to grow and provide an exceptional dining experience for each guest, please know your comments will be shared with our Food and Beverage Department for review. We hope to welcome you again should your travels bring you back to Fairmont Orchid. Warmest aloha, Tara Harrington, Director of Guest Experience

The small bar served well-made cocktails as well.
