On the west corner of the small medieval town Trogir, there is a part of the city called "Pasike".Outside the city noise,we want to offer you a part of culinary history of our ancestors and unite with the modern present day street food!Be adventurous,be c
Situated off the main front at the harbour of Trogir this wonderful little restaurant is well worth a visit.First of all the drinks are far cheaper than on the front 100 Mtrs away. The house wine is top class. And the food is so so good.Traditional food and sea food so fresh.Trust me try it.

The place is quite hidden from the main streets of Trogir, but the prices are mostly similar to fancier places in town. We were expecting a genuine cuisine, but the food was average both in the way of preparation and in quantity. We compared prices with a fancy restaurant in Sibenik and we found we had paid only a few kunas less, all for a bottle of white wine (190kn more or less), a plate of fried calamari and two sea basses, for a total of circa 550kn. On the bright side, the wine was really good cause we had asked for the strongest one they had. What didnât impress us at all was the service, the waiter did not know which wine to suggest us and couldnât tell us anything about its origins besides âall white wines are dryâ.

A very nice spot for lunch, particularly the Pizza, generous toppings with a lovely thin crust, very tasty indeed. Add to this an ice cold beer, chilled wine, nice service and a beautiful view, and you have the perfect place for a relaxed and pleasant lunch.

We had the pleasure of eating at Bistro Kampanel on three occasions during our recent stay in stunning Trogir. Each meal was excellent with, refreshingly in a such a popular, historic town, a good number of traditional dishes. On each occasion the food was presented to a very high standard. The grilled squid with potatoes and garlic chard, the steak, butter chicken, mussels (wow!), and Spaghetti Carbonara were all superb, with good portion size and value-for-money.To cap it all, the service was extremely welcoming and friendly without excessive fuss. For our final meal before flying home, they even offered to look after our luggage for us prior to us catching the '37' to the airportAn absolute gem!Thank You for visiting our restaurant and writing this wonderful review,we really appreciate it ,it was a pleasure to have such a cheerful and communicative people for our guests. We would love to see You here again someday...have a safe trip home :)

The desire to shape our way of cooking,we turn to food from nature and culture, discover our history and shape the future.
This was recommended to us by the owner of our AIRB&B. Reservations are highly recommended. It is well worth the effort. The food is outstanding and the service is excellent. We had the Octopus, Panko with chick pea purée over greens. Also, the Tuna with black lentils, potatoes are a burrata, beet, walnut salad as a starter. The wine was white Croatian recommended by the waiter which paired beautifully with our dinner. Donât leave too quickly, they will serve you a complimentary house made Grappa or Cherry Liquor, which will cap off your delightful meal..

This was the nearest restaurant to our air bnb so we ate there a few times. Good prawn soup, good food generally. Great bread but you have to ask for it. Apparently they do fab pizzas but we were never offered the pizza menu!Would have said it was an excellent spot BUT the tv screens are on all the time. Noisy and very annoying. We did go in the first time on a Saturday night and they had a jazz singer on. This was great and the screens were off.

Our group ate in a charming cellar type room. We started with a sweet potato soup very good followed with a small green salad with tomato. The entry was a Croatian favorite Pasticada a stewed beef dish cooked in a special sauce and served with gnocchi. The meat was perfect with a wonderful flavored sauce. I usually don't care for gnocchi and our first experience with it in Croatia was awful but this gnocchi was delicious soft, fluffy and airy and was so good with the sauce. I wish I could find gnocchi like this at home I would eat it more often. The dessert oh my goodness so good I wish I could tell you what they were there was a small empanada like pastry filled with good stuff and sweet chips. All in all this was a delicious dinner.Dear NormKeith,Thank you for finding time to review our restaurant. We have been making homemade gnocchi for decades and Pašticada is our speciality. Pastry you had for dessert is also homemade and filled with ground almonds. You have definitely tasted typical Trogir dishes :) Of course we have more than these so next time you come you can taste some more.Kind regards,

Both opted for a pasta dishes which were under the âappetiserâ section of the menu. These were both huge and more than enough for a main meal! We also tried the bread infused with garlic which was amazing!! The meal was reasonably priced but mainly because our dishes were appetisers..Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for seafood dishes or anyone whoâs keen on fresh bread (who isnât!)
