We shared a beautiful lunch here on a recent trip to Santorini. The food, surroundings and service were superb! The servings are large so shared starters are a great idea. There is also an air conditioned small function room if needed, but the restaurant is cool on a hot day with great views.Dear mrswilliamson,Thank you very much for your time reviewing Pyrgos restaurant. It really means a lot to us!We are looking forward to welcoming you in the future!

BOTARGO is a unique Restaurant & Bar set in the grandeur of a 18th century Mansion on top of Santorini, in the medieval fortress of Pyrgos, Kasteli. With its doors always wide open BOTARGO is an establishment with high aesthetics, true hospitality, Greek
We had an excellent experience here while on our honeymoon. We sat on the balcony and had a beautiful view. The food was delicious and the service was great. Each course came with a special olive oil pairing which was really interesting. The restaurant itself is incredibly romantic and quiet- it was such a special dinner. We definitely would go back!

Could not recommend this restaurant highly enough, good friendly young staff, very relaxed and happy atmosphere out in the open village square, which makes a fabulous location for a meal as there is always something to talk about as you watch the world go by. The food is very tasty, good value and very plentiful. We were three ladies enjoying a girls break away and found that starters and then one main between us with a salad was more than enough - sharing is a given and very accepting at this restaurant. If you want a good meal with good service please try Raki.

My husband and I tried this restaurant for dinner one night, and were very disappointed. The restaurant definitely has a nice ambience created by their decor and a rooftop terrace setting. The menu offers traditional Greek appetizers, and Italian entrées. We ordered the zucchini flowers and five a bean dip for appetizers and the shrimp risotto for the main entrée. We really liked the zucchini flowers, and disliked everything else. We found the quality of food and the flavor profile to be lacking. The shrimp risotto had an odd after taste. The worst part was that we were charged for items that we were served but did not request. Specifically, after we placed our order, they served us a large bottle of water and a bread basket. Because we did not order these and because the waiter simply placed them on our table without asking if we would like either item, we assumed they were complimentary as is customary in many restaurants while you are waiting for your order to arrive. So, we were surprised to find that we were charged for these items in our final bill. When eating here, know that you are really paying for the atmosphere and not for quality food. We much preferred the service and meals we ate at a neighboring family restaurant named Aulogyros.

The restaurant established in 2018 using traditional recipes of Santorini and all over the Greece . We cook the traditional recipes adding some modern flavours. Our restaurant is housed in old windmill. The name has its source from the wind, because in Py
You must sit on the terrace and watch the sun set over the roof tops. Slightly compromised by a fairly busy road junction, but very good food and affordable. Lovely staff. Pics tell a very glamourous story which isn't really the reality.

We enjoyed a meal here one night. We were very warmly greeted. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. As with a lot of restaurants whilst you're deciding whether to have a dessert we were served with Baklava. Service was good.As I recall we shared tomato balls for starters, my wife had her usual Moussaka and I believe I had fried fish. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Taverna Gfeca a conduzione familiare, strada che dalla statale per Emporio sale verso il centro di Megalochori
This was close to the Vedema resort in Megalohori, quick three min walk, and after reading some reviews, good and bad, opted to go here. Most of the negative reviews are dated and unsubstantiated based on reasonable individuals. The timing of service is very Greek and not rushed. Besides, there was one waitress covering inside and outside, itâs a local family restaurant, be reasonable people. Sat outside and after a few minutes decided it was too chilly, the waitress suggested we move inside. Decent size restaurant where I can see if it was packed, service can be slowed. Luckily only four tables occupied when we got here, tourists and locals. Ambiance was very Greek. They had these cool keg taps next to each table that dispense wines. Food was very good. Fries, scalloped and fried. You can tell these were fresh peeled. Greek salad, the olive oil was less than extra virgin but the tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers were fresh and crisp. The tomato balls, fritters, were fantastic. Crispy and light coating with flavorful and juicy center. Definitely would order again if here. Grilled sardines were fresh and excellent. The light olive oil and lemon drizzle over the slightly charred flavor was excellent. The grilled octopus was also good. The mix of thyme and chariness over the fresh octopus made it delightful. It was not the softest octopus but it was not chewy. We really enjoyed the meal. Had it not been a long day, we would have sat and drank even more. All told for the 5 dishes, two 500ml of beers, it amounted to a moderate â¬39. Would have given 5 stars if we could have gotten the price down below â¬30.

This restaurant is outstanding, we had spinach pies, beautiful little filo pastry parcels filled with spinach, Greek pan fried pork, and Mamaâs meatballs. All completely luscious. This restaurant is small and atmospheric and the food is unparalleled. Thanks for a lovely meal guys! Cheers! Russ n Kathryn

We found this gem after a few days in Perissa, it is easily the best value for money with a smaller but different menu. Big portions delicious meals and friendly staff the lamb chops are slightly more expensive than others in the area but are far superior as is all of the food

Restaurant Karma is situated in idyllic Santorini located on the pedestrian road of the traditional village of Oia behind the tower clock and offers the perfect setting for a romantic quiet dinner. The impressive decoration is combined with an innovative
Overall, this place has its charms but service is uneven (not rude, just forgot orders and slow). The chickpea stew is phenomenal and really memorable. I've never had more flavor in a vegetarian dish. The moussaka was completely forgettable on the other hand. It was served slightly lukewarm too. I wouldn't recommend it.The stewed vegetables wasn't very tasty either despite the menu description playing it up. I wouldn't recommend it.The "spaghetti" was good and an island specialty -- if you don't get it with meatballs or chili/parmessan then you're getting it the authentic way. It is a garlicly (light) noodle with some tomatoes. It was simplicity at its best.If you don't like cats, you shouldn't sit here cause they have a lot here they like to keep around.Wine by the glass is huge and a great value here.
