If you want traditional Cypriot food, with a modern twist, cooked by one of the best chefs on the island...this is the place to go!
Fast service and good food. Tasty and desent portions. Prices could be better and/or cheaper starters.Try the koupepia (stuffed vine leaves) the lamb liver and the makaronia tou fournou (oven pasta). Everything is tasty and served under 10minutes.

We have found a parking spot at the top of small town Kakopetria , and strolled down Palea Kakopetria sreet - the main alley of old Kakopetra village . At the bottom of the street near the Clarios Water Falls , we have seen the lovely Village Pub And Restaurant . It wase early afternoon , and the right time for our beer break - so we checked in . The strategic veranda tables looked inviting but it was a bit windy and cool, so we took a table inside. Bambos , the friendly chef/owner of this lovely place welcomed us with such a pleasant smile , that it made us comfortable enough to be tempted to try and munch something with our beer , sharing it between the two of us . Good decision !!On the table : 1 portion of Grilled Halloumi cheese ; 1 large bottle of Keo cold beer ; 1 portion of yummy Trout .On the bill : Only 22.00 EUROs . We were even treated to Bambos' own private home made Zivania shot !! A great place , Many thanks to Bambos and his wife .Highly recommended .

The traditional restaurant "Green Valley" is situated in a pine forest area, between Kakopetria - Platania in the iconic island of Cyprus. It is located 300 meters from the main road and therefore provides tranquility, safety for the kids and fresh air! I
As Cyprus was experiencing a heat wave we decided to revisit this cool shady eatery set next to a babbling brook up in the mountains. Still not many customers on the day we went - our host Andreas told us Sunday was the only time he got really busy - but still excellent. We had a lovely simple salad and toast with our chicken breast and pork chop. We could recommend both - they're both big portions and delicious. The chips were just as good as before. We only had the fresh delicious mountain water to drink and finished off with a Cyprus coffee each. Our bill...â¬21. Mr Andreas is very friendly and we enjoyed our visit very much.If the restaurant was situated in the middle of any village or town it would be inundated with customers but it's slightly off the main road - probably all of 300 metres to the ample parking area. It's simple - yes, it has earth underfoot as a previous reviewer has stated (so don't wear stilettos), true also that you have to wait for a while before your food arrives as it's cooked freshly to order. It's set in the midst of plane and birch trees so you might be annoyed by a stray falling leaf - but the food is well done and we like the setting. The toilets are clean and it's a child-friendly place - the stream runs down one side of it but there's a wall/railings for safety and the ducks/geese (my wife and I still can't decide which they are) would fascinate little ones.We won't be leaving it a whole year before we go back again.

We were seven people and all of us ordered the trout in butter sauce which is truly delicious. Everyone was happy. The grilled haloumi is also very good, one if the best we had in Cyprus. The restaurant is quite big but always busy so reservations are required.

A tradition restaurand in Kakopetria village, having out-sitting with great view, fantastic food, excellent service and good prices. My favorite dish at this restaurant is trout in butter garlic sauce served with jacket potato, homemade bread and fresh Greek salad with fetta cheese. We paid 83 euros for 4 persons including drinks. We love this restaurant !

We ate here twice while staying at Kakopetria. It was more of a locals restaurant than others we visited which gave it an authentic feel. Staff were very friendly, food good and quantities very large! Prices very reasonable.
