Had a lovely meal here. Four adults. Excellent value and excellent food. Great atmosphere there, no doubt helped by the super staff. The guy who served us was so nice!

This was my second visit to the restaurant. It serves local Greek food, but not with the classic menu. Sausages and cured meat have a predominant role. Great taste, relatively quiet place, also visited by locals. Overall, again a very pleasant experience.

After a few days of dining out on authentic Greek cuisine I was craving Pizza. Found this place on TripAdvisor and was not disappointed. Really fresh, tasty food. I had the Mozzarella pizza with Lemon and Oregano and a Lettuce, Fig and Balsamic salad. Itâs in a fab area of Athens also, plenty going on around. Highly recommend

I came to know A Little Taste of Home through a recommendation. The food and the service were excellent with an added bonus of a small kitty on premises (obligatory in Greece!). Try any of the dishes and you will be well pleased. If you like chocolate, get the MOUSSE! It's huge AND satisfying. Of course you will need coffee afterward and get the GREEK coffee! Well made and well served. Christos took very good care of me and you will probably meet him if you go there. And while it is a small restaurant, it is best if you reserve a table before you go. The prices are reasonable and the foods they offer are from around the world. I began with the suggestion of Talagani, a sheep's milk cheese that was wonderful and not overpowering. I then moved on to the Tajine, a braised lamb dish from the Beber region of North Africa which is cooked in a clay pot. I finally ended with the HUGE chocolate mousse which was served in a large glass ice cream dish and was almost too much for me to handle. A glass of excellent wine was recommended by Christos and he walked me skilfully throughout the menu. In short, an excellent experience, a fair price and an evening well enjoyed.

Absolutely first rate restaurant that would rank as outstanding in any major city in thE USA. Creative modern cuisine based heavily on Greek elements. Beet salad and favs bean salad starters were terrific. The sea bass fricasee and the stuffed chicken main courses were also first rate. Save room for dessert the red fruit soup and the âcheesecakeâ were otherworldly. Thank you so much for your review.

We made a reservation at Cinque from the US immediately prior to our trip to Greece. My wife and I owned a wine shop in NY for over twenty years, and the description of Cinque on Trip Adviser, rated #4 in Athens, made it sound perfect; a small, owner hands on venue with an extensive, sophisticated Greek wine list and interesting small plates. However, as we had just gotten to Athens the day before, we missed our reservation. After 10 days at Mykonos, Santorini, and Crete, we found ourselves back in Athens for a short stay prior to returning home. On this day we were lost, wandering around in an interesting Athens neighborhood about 45 minutes from our hotel. As I stood in front of a storefront I noticed the small sign; Cinque. We had found the restaurant. The one that we had really wanted to enjoy. However, it was closed. (There are two. One that closes at 6 PM, and one that opens at 6). The door was open and I entered and met Evangelia, who is a co owner with her husband Grigoris. I explained who I was, and apologized about the missed reservation, which she remembered, and she walked us to the other Cinque where we had our original reservation. A twenty minute history lesson of the neighborhood followed as we walked. That is the back story. On to the restaurant. We were handed off to Grigoris who, after the introductions explained the restaurant the wine and food. We sampled many different wines, starting with a white but ultimately with one or two reds. For dinner we chose a charcuterie plate with cheese, olives and bread which was perfect with the wines we selected. We love this place, and hope to return. These folks truly enjoy what they do. Their son has also entered viniculture as he is interested in making wine. Finally, after two hours of sipping and nibbling and chatting with the owners, we bought of a local red which we will enjoy on our anniversary. I told Evangelia this and she was obviously pleased. If you are a wine loving, people person who enjoys meeting local folks while away from home, you absolutely must go there! It is a treasure.Oh yes. The bill for all of this, including a wine for December was 89.00 Euros.Speechless!!How can we thank you enough for this review??My family and I, we feel blessed to receive so much of appreciation and love from the people who are visiting Cinque. And, as you wrote, we do what we love!!Thank you for trying hard to find us!Thank you for trying to speak greek! Well done!Thank you for your kindness!Thank you for celebrating your anniversary with a greek wine! We feel very honored!Efharisto poli!Yamas!
