Schaffer’s Mill, one of Truckee/Tahoe’s premier golf destinations, is a par-71, 18-hole championship course with beautiful views of Tahoe’s landscape.
I’ve played Lahontan, Martis Camp and Schaffer’s Mill all in the last year. Schaffer’s Mill edges the other two slightly as far as the golf course goes. Where it pulls away is the awesome staff. They are super friendly and accommodating. Great play and a great time.

Edgewood has also specialized in hosting golf groups and tournaments of all sizes, regardless if they stay in the Lodge or not.
I play a lot of top courses around the country and this is now one of my favorites. It was immaculate, beautiful, tough and fun. The greens are slick and speedy and tough to get used to. The pine trees are problematic. The bunkers are everywhere, plus a bunch of water. My only complaints are that I wish there were more holes on the lake and that a 12oz can of soda wasn’t $4.25. That was such a joke to me that I wouldn’t buy one. Highest price I had ever seen. Ridiculous. I liked the complimentary valet service, though.

An amazing mountain layout with old growth trees and elevation changes, this 18-hole Incline Village golf course is fun and affordable. The Mountain Course is the highest elevation golf course in the State of Nevada and the Tahoe Basin. Tee times are usually not a problem so go ahead and give us a call or book online. You can play this par 58 Lake Tahoe golf course and be back with the family to enjoy the rest of your day. (Typically open mid-May to mid-October)
Our condo is next to the golf course so I decided to check it out as a place to hike. The course is lovely and it is perfect for hiking. There were enough people to make you feel safe and the hills were great.

This is a really great course with one of my top 3 favorite holes I play. It's a par 3 that follows a really amazing par 5. when you get up to the tee box, the green is some 500-600 yards away. What? Yup, and it's over trees and a stream, whaaaaat? Straight downhill. There's a sign in the tee box and sometimes a marshal that says something like, use your 140-yard club. So with a nine in hand, I hit it straight out and drops like a dart onto the green. If you're not straight, you're dead and there's a drop zone down the hill, but it is so incredibly fun. PS: There's no driving range at the course, but there is one right down the road about a mile away.
