A challenging 18-hole golf course with breathtaking views.
I've now played the PGA West Norman course several times and it is a ton of fun to play. The fairways are generous, most of the houses are tucked well back so it feels very natural and it has a real desert feel to it. The greens were in great shape and rolling fast and the pace of play was decent - 4:15 for the round. You can get discounted greens fees online so be sure to poke around for a deal.

Ranked among Golf Magazine's "Top 100 Courses You Can Play" in the United States, this Pete Dye-design is inspired by the famed Scottish seaside courses characterized by a rugged and dramatic landscape.
my youngest son took me to palm springs to play golf for my birthday. what an amazing time we had. the pga west course was perfect, we played the course just after the american express tournament so the stadium stands were still in place. how exciting it was. the staff was great. we plan on making this a yearly visit.

Set at the base of the majestic Santa Rosa Mountains of La Quinta, California, this 18-hole championship Southern California golf course is a Gary Panks design that ensures challenge and reward for players of all skill levels. The Golf Club at La Quinta opened for play in 2002 and has been tested and tried by professional golf players including Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Fred Couples, Adam Scott, Annika Sorenstam and Mark O’Meara, as the home of the 2003, 2004, 2005, and the 2006 PGA Tour SKINS GAME events. Several sets of tee boxes, including the Skins tees that play at nearly 7,200 yards, provide a length that is just right for your golf game. Dramatic water features and sand perils complement the golf course fairways, leading to the rolling greens. The natural California desert landscape of the surrounding Coachella Valley creates a boundary of play both beautiful and daunting. Check out our new SPRING rates effective April 15th! Operating hours: 6:30 am - 4pm daily.
I played the course three times during a 8 day stay in Indio. Staff and condition of the course was GREAT. Can not recommend it more highly

This little par 3 may be the best conditioned course in the desert, honest. Everything is lush and green, and all water features have clear clean water (and a couple of my golf balls) Greens run straight and true. This is really a fun course. It is also a little jeckel and hyde for me. A few years ago, I dead shanked my tee shot on #9 and broke the window of a very nice lady who gave me back my wayward ball. A year later, on #6 I hit a pitching wedge that bounced once and went right into the hole. Give this great little track a try, and it will be fun

A picturesque 18-hole golf course with mountain views.
Playing this golf course was one of the best golfing experiences I have had, from beginning to end....and it was good value. The practice, driving range was great. The starter was fantastic - I wish I could remember his name - he was very friendly, helpful, and professional. The riding cart was superb and came with its own electronic GPS system & yardage guide. The course itself was in excellent condition and very well-manicured. I found the course was challenging but fair, had a good variety of hole designs, and was very picturesque. I would play here again in a heartbeat.

A challenging 18-hole course.
Course provides good variety of holes with challenges created by well placed bunkers, water on many holes and holes with elevation changes. Only a few holes require long carries and most holes provide plenty of bail out room for players that wish to avoid the dangers while rewarding higher risk shot lines. Only a few holes have housing adjacent to the fairways. Most holes have adjacent fairways, water or natural desert boundaries providing beautiful mountain vistas.

Designed by famed Jack Nicklaus, this 18-hole championship desert course is dramatic in design, featuring plenty of large lakes, deep bunkers and steep drops off the edges of greens.

Superb Arnold Palmer course with fantastic restaurant and bar. Hurry before all the new construction changes the ambience and intimate charm. New program may prove exceptional, but, the way the original set up was planned and largely exists is a national treasure.
