Lyme Regis Golf Club was founded in 1893 and is recognised as one of the finest golf courses in the South West. The course occupies a cliff top site with coastal views towards Portland Bill and overlooks the historic town and World Heritage Site of Lyme Regis. The condition of the course is the source of constant praise from visiting golfers and is to the credit of our team of expert and dedicated greens staff. Although on a cliff top plateau the course itself is not actually hilly and golfers can enjoy an exhilarating round of golf with some magnificent views. Surprisingly very good all round. Firstly great people watching as golfers finish on the 18th hole, non members made very welcome to the bar and restaurant which has easy parking which is a bonus in Lyme. The bay is walkable from the course. The food is really good with respected local chief, the new star of the show is the steward who provides that exceptional touch you might get at places like the Ritz, he notices everything and is so polite. Very refreshing and much improved.

This is a very well run bar and restaurant with experienced proprietors, who have taken the COVID precautions very seriously, yet maintain a friendly welcome and excellent food, with super sausage rolls and cakes on the bar. Well worth a detour. A good driving range available to the public as well as reasonable green fees

On my initial visit the clubhouse staff were really friendly and the food lovely. I used the driving range which was very reasonable at £2.50 for 30 balls as a minimum where there are six under cover and six in the open. The Pro was very helpful and I will certainty be going again, for a game next time. The course seems to be well looked after so I’m looking forward to an enjoyable game.

I am a big fan of the restaurant at Weymouth Golf Club. From coffee and cake, to full afternoon tea, to their Sunday carvery and speciality pies; it’s always brilliant. Last night Lee and the team surpassed themselves with the 6 course tasting menu. All courses were delicious and every one on our table had a different favourite- mine was the cauliflower steak, from the vegetarian menu, other popular choices were the butter poached cod, the lamb, with parsnip and lamb croquette and the whole baked peach. It’s worth noting you don’t have to be a member of the club to eat in the restaurant although booking is a must especially for Sunday Lunch

Had a 4 ball here and enjoyed the interesting small course. Ranges from 65 to 201 yards. Small greens make it a little difficult and the weather, especially the wind can make it a challenge. Great value and has offers for 6 game cards. Worth a visit.
