La Paloma Country Club

This 27-hole, Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, appealing to pros and beginners alike, is situated on the lovely 250-acre Westin La Paloma resort and offers magnificent city and mountain views.

One of the best courses I have played in Tucson. The Canyon is particularly challenging with lots of carry over desert wasteland and Arroyo's. The Ridge and Hill 9's were also very enjoyable. You need to be a Troon Privee member, or stay at the Westin La Paloma to get on this course but very reasonable twilight greens fees.

Got a great deal on golf at Starr Pass. The course was in great condition. This course is a target golf, desert course. Fast greens and beautiful fairways. Bring extra balls, especially if you have trouble carrying over desert brush! We played the Rattler and Road Runner courses. The beverage cart was available on both courses. Everyone we encountered was very pleasant, from the pro shop, to the starter, to the cart guys. The pro shop had a nice selection in both men and women’s attire.

We have 12 couples who take a yearly golf outing and we chose Tubac Golf resort to stay and to play golf. Everything was just perfect and the staff at the course were wonderful in handling our large group. They even kept out clubs at the course in lock up since over night when we played the second stay and were staying at the resort. We all just loved the course and it was in great condition. A little tough for some of the weaker golfers but the views and overall scenery quickly overcame the venue difficulty...Wonderful little snack bar on site and the beverage cart service was very efficient and prices were really inexpensive. Even saw wildlife including deer, coyotes and cows (yes, cows) watch the cow patties and hoof prints in the sand traps....

We played here 5 years ago and I was happy to return to the Monument Course. The welcome is good, the shop, bar and restaurant top notch and the logistics spot on. It was breezy which added to the challenge. The holes are varied, there are elevation changes and the course is beautifully sculpted between the rocks. Fairways and Greens are perfect and we had a great time

Troon North Golf Club Monument Course

The Monument Course, which opened in 1990, was conceived by legendary golfer Tom Weiskopf and Architect Jay Morrish. In 2007, the course underwent a major renovation project, led by Tom Weiskopf. An entirely new playing experience was created by exchanging its front nine holes with the front nine of its sibling course, the Pinnacle Course, and changing the sequence in which the holes are played. Hallmarks of the course include balance, variety and immaculate course conditions.

I played the Ironwood and Mesquite courses solo and it was a great experience. I had originally signed up for a golf board but they weren’t fully charged so they offered me a scooter to ride instead of a regular golf cart. It’s like an electric motorcycle with fat tires. It was really fun and made for a nice round on an immaculately maintained course. A little pricey but since I was only in town a short while, worth the splurge.
