Design influenced by the five times Open Champion and famous course architect James Braid, this traditional 18-hole Championship links course measures 6,360 yards. We are very proud of our traditions, our Clubhouse and, most of all, our Golf Course which combines the best elements of links and heath. With tight fairways, challenging carries and compact, undulating greens, it is admired by visitors from home and overseas. Old Scots pines and sandhills forged by nature give the terrain an enduring quality in keeping with its long history. Hallmarks such as the 'Hogan' hole (the sixth) and the Buddon Burn (the twelfth) conspire to give you a round of golf to remember. Our Clubhouse is one of the finest old golf buildings in Scotland. Its unique and delightful lounges are full of character. Devotees of the history of golf will be interested to know of our origins, borne of the close trading relationship between Dundee and Calcutta in the halcyon days of the Jute Industry. Friendly staff afford a real Scottish welcome and good food and wine will complete your day here.

Carnoustie Golf Links is an iconic, world-leading golf destination in Scotland and home to ‘Golf’s Greatest Test’. Golf has been played at the Links since the 16th century and it was Carnoustie natives who went on to establish the Professional Golfer’s Associations of America and Australia. We look forward to warmly welcoming you to play our fantastic three 18-hole courses, the Championship Course, the Burnside Course and the Buddon Links Course. The Championship Course played host to The 147th Open last year, with Francesco Molinari becoming the 2018 Champion Golfer of the Year.
We played Carnoustie about 10 years ago and struggled so much that we have it a miss the next time we visited St Andrews on our golfing trip. It was, quite simply, beyond our capabilities, especially in the wind! We decided to give it another go but played off the forward tees - what a difference! Everyone had a great time. This reinforces the point that when you visit these great courses it should be all about enjoyment - after all you're paying a lot of money for the privilege. Unless you are a low handcapper, then move forward and make it "easier" on yourself! The enjoyment of playing Carnoustie does not lie in breathtaking views but rather the experience of playing a very strong course design and having every facet of your game tested at the highest level - - even from the forward tees!

Two 18-hole links courses located in the heart of Scotland: the Medal Course, a test for any level of player, and the Ashludie Course, a compact but challenging test of skill.

A group of ex-colleagues and myself meet here for lunch on a regular basis. Although it is fairly close to our homes we all drive there, but parking is not a problem as there is a large car park due to it also being a very popular Golf Course for locals and visiting golfers. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly as are all the staff, who are very pleasant and accommodating. The menu is varied with a good selection of starters, mains and desserts. Being Scottish I always have Cullen Skink (Smoked Haddock Soup) and it is one of the best I've had. One of our party prefers a dessert to a starter, her favourite being Sticky Toffee Pudding and it never disappoints! Everything is cooked fresh on the premises. We have never been disappointed always enjoying our lunch and a catch-up. We are never rushed and it's been known for our 'lunch' to last 3-4 hours! We would highly recommend this establishment.

Ben Crenshaw former US Tour player and Ryder Cup Captain, once quoted a “magnificent stretch of marvellously natural ground which depicts how the game was born”. Montrose Links has been established as the 5th oldest course in the World and celebrated its 450th year in 2012. Sitting in the heart of Carnoustie Country only 1 hour away from St Andrews and Gleneagles and thirty minutes from Carnoustie itself, Montrose is an ideal base for a memorable golfing break. Local accommodation to suit is readily available. Montrose Links offers a fantastic golfing experience and reliable playing conditions throughout the year. Our classic links is complemented by our Broomfield links and together they provide an ideal 36 hole visitor day package. A warm welcome in our 3 clubs Montrose Caledonia, Montrose Mercantile and Royal Montrose is always guaranteed. Our annual Men's Open Week will be held from Monday 22nd July - Friday 26th July 2013 over the 5th oldest course in the world Montrose Medal Course. The price is only £35.00 per person for season ticket holders and £80.00 per person for non-season ticket holders. The handicap limit has been increased from 18 - 24.

Tremendous course with a truly fascinating history. Designed by Tom Morris and then tweaked by James Braid it boasts an illustrious calibre. The World's first 18 hole course from inception no less. Set to celebrate it's 150th anniversary in 2021. The rolling undulations, a product of flax farming, make for a unique challenge. Whilst not long by modern standards it makes for a great day out. Every facet of your game is tested, if you can score here you can ultimately play anywhere. Enjoyed a meal after my round and food matched my experience on the course, superb. Always enjoy bringing friends here.

Played the Westwater course 5 times over the course of the week. Course in superb condition, a good test of golf for all ages and handicaps and staff always friendly and helpful. Driving range and chipping/putting facilities also good. It’s £15 for the day and you can play as much as you like- we did 2 sets of 9 most days- so it’s good value too. Your £15 green fee also doubles up as voucher for the next day you go back which is then reduced to £10 each so better value still.

Never played at Arbroath before and pleasantly surprised. Even though we played in October the condition of the course was excellent, a really good test of golf. Par 3's were exceptional well bunkered as were most other holes. Right from the moment we arrived the local pro, Craig Knowles, made us feel very much at home with his excellent service. Nothing too difficult for him and the shop was fitted out to a very high standard with lots of choice for the amateur golfer. We met a few local members, again very nice and friendly. Clubhouse was spotlessly clean and decorated nicely. Will be back.
