Virginia can make American history come alive. Visit Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, tour Civil War battlefields, explore the living history museum at Williamsburg… the possibilities are endless (if the kids object, break up the historical sightseeing with a visit to Busch Gardens). Arlington, site of Arlington National Cemetery, is just across the Potomac River from all the major sites in D.C. In addition to beaches and historical attractions, Virginia has plenty to offer outdoor enthusiasts. Active families will love the Blue Ridge Highlands, where hiking, canoeing and tubing are just a few of the activities offered. Couples might enjoy a romantic mountain cabin in Virginia after a day of hiking in Shenandoah National Park.

Gull Hummock is a friendly gathering place for those looking for fine wines, cheeses, craft beers, artisan breads, locally made chocolates, and gourmet and gluten free foods. Join us for a Complimentary Wine Tasting which take place each Friday 4:30-6:00 and Saturday 3:30-5:30,
I was in Cape Charles for a weekend of rest. I was told about this shop by the innkeepers who hosted my stay. They told me and another person about the shop and yup go see John and Honey. So, off we went. John had such an amazing amount of knowledge about wines and the components! He helped me find a wonderful red wine and where I could buy it at home. Honey was such a lovely lady! She made an impromptu patio for us and a another couple tho sit outside and enjoy our wine. They made us feel so welcome and like we we're old friends coming to visit. I will definitely be returning to Cape Charles and The Gull Hummock! My trip would not have been as fun without coming to this shop! A must to visit!

A tasting gallery and shop featuring over 85 varieties of the freshest organic, extra virgin, and naturally fused and infused olive oils from around the world. Experiment with your taste buds as you pair olive oils with balsamic vinegars, or our 18-year aged balsamic condimento from Modena, Italy. Yum! We also offer gifts of the mountains by local artists: one-of-a-kind cutting and charcuterie boards by Jimmy Mead, and gorgeous signature serving-ware by potter, Debbie Grimm.
The customer experience and customer service are as incredible as the product itself. Every time I’ve been in the staff is extremely friendly and helpful -I look forward to going as an “experience”! The variety of high quality infused oils and vinegars is mind blowing and getting to taste a huge variety in the store wonderful. I absolutely love this place and stop in any time I’m in the area. Well done to the management and staff!!

Award-winning boutique shop & gallery located just steps from the Inn at Little Washington. Two exquisite floors filled with an artful mix of fine gifts, French table linens, vintage objects, women's accessories, home decor, regional & international fine art, sculpture, one-of-a-kind rugs.
This is a lovey little shop with a gallery downstairs. It has an interesting and well curated inventory. This is far better than your average shop - we enjoyed spending time in the the store and bought several items

HEART OF THE COMMUNITY, SOUL OF A CULTURE It is a gathering place, graced by weathered porch rockers that welcome you into an art gallery and gift shop rivaling New York’s finest. It is a creative educator, grounding small-town children in history and the arts while big-city kids savor a taste of country life. It is a museum that shelters yesterday’s culture of the islanders and watermen, and it is a farm that follows today’s best practices to cultivate the land. Yet it is, most of all, a storyteller, safeguarding the wisdom of our past for the sake of the Eastern Shore’s future.
We were looking for something to do on our family vacay to Cape Charles, especially with elementary school-age kids. And, not being from the Eastern Shore, we wanted to learn more about the Barrier Islands. What a well-done museum, learning center. Bravo to all involved. Sally met us & gave a quick overview of the museum, and Barrier Islands. She then told our kiddos (5; 7; 9; & 10) to wait & came back with kid-friendly guides that included searching for Hog Island sheep hidden on the 3 floors of the center. The center has an expansive & detailed collection of pictures & artifacts that tell the story of the islands. The story of the growth & demise of the islands is fascinating. I didn’t realize it was a magnet for wealthy families from the East Coast during it’s heyday. Don’t miss the 3rd floor attic, that features the very cool “Twisted Chimney”, along with displays geared to kids. If you visit the Eastern Shore, make it a point to visit. You won’t be disappointed!

We are an award winning chocolate, pastry, and gelato shop, located in the heart of historic downtown Culpeper. We look forward to your visit!
This is a charming shop for gifts or treats. The individual decorated cake confections are a delight and very hard to choose your selection. There are trays and trays of individual chocolates all fresh and delectable. It is fun to browse the gourmet foods and utensils with different choices each visit. The owner is charming. Come in to rest, and be refreshed.

Our retail stores are open but out of concern for the health and safety of our customers and employees, we are enforcing social distancing, requiring masks, and have suspended product sampling. Curbside pickup is available but please call ahead. Whitley's "Home-Cooked" peanuts have a wonderful, crunchy freshness and distinctive flavor because our peanuts are still made the old-fashioned way-hand cooked, slowly roasted to perfection. Since 1986, Whitley's Peanut Factory has been producing the finest quality gourmet Virginia peanuts and peanut candies on the market. We have three retail stores in Williamsburg, Gloucester and Richmond, VA.
Stopped by on our way out of town and picked up several containers of various types of nut products. A week later, I am wishing I had bought more. The wife liked the spicy party mix, I loved the dark chocolate peanut clusters and the mixed nut brittle. Everything was fresh and delicious

Super Dark Chocolatey Peanut Clusters and “home cooked” salted Virginia Peanuts. Friends enjoyed the honeyed pecans I sent them this December. I’m still enjoying the blue crab plate I bought here several years ago. Since I’m not local, I must mail order my nuts and gifts. Always terrific service. Like another reviewer, I really miss the Triple Nut Chocolate and Butterscotch Clusters. They were out of this world! I do hope you can add that item back to your product line. ????

An old-fashioned drug store, said to be the oldest in America.
Enjoyed a delicious chicken salad sandwich and the historic drugstore soda fountain vibe. A great light lunch spot.

Our Williamsburg Village store location will be closing, but this isn’t goodbye! We understand and share in your disappointment, but we assure you that we will still be an active member in the greater community. You can visit us in our other nearby locations, (including the Patrick Henry Mall in Newport News), shop 24/7 at YankeeCandle.com or plan your next family-fun trip to our South Deerfield Village store in South Deerfield, MA
Beautiful beautiful store with lots and lots and lots of pretty things to see - fudge, popcorn, etc. there’s an area where the ceiling “snows” on you - that’s my favorite part. Yes pricey but worth a look. There are s couple cooking/kitchen areas too.
