You’ll wonder why you don’t live in Portland after you’ve visited this laid-back and friendly city. With a reputation for manicured parks, eclectic nightlife, fine micro-breweries and distilleries, and nature that cuts right into the city, Portland’s a Pacific Northwest must-visit. Don’t miss the famous Japanese Garden, one of the largest and most beautiful of its kind outside of Japan.

This is a wonderful book store and gift shop. If you go to the New Renaissance Bookstore be prepared to spend a good amount of time! They have so many wonderful things from so many spiritual traditions and cultural avenues - Mostly for adults but there is also a children's section ... Even though it is not a huge place, it is a great place to get lost in!

The Meadow was founded by Mark Bitterman in 2006 out of a shared love for food, culture, and travel. Before opening his first shop, he'd spent the greater part of two decades traveling throughout Europe, restoring chateaus in France, eating perfectly salted grilled steak at a roadside stop somewhere in the Pyrenees, and generally exploring and eating everything in sight ... and maybe causing a little trouble along the way. Mark came back to the United States and opened his first shop on the sleepy (soon to be very bustling) little street of N. Mississippi Ave in Portland, Oregon. It is here that he began to explore craft made salts, gourmet chocolates, handmade cocktail bitters, all of which we carry in our shops today.
