This museum area is located in Kaunisnurmi, near the city center. The old wooden buildings are a reminder of Kouvola's railroad history. The area was inhabited mainly by the engine drivers. Most of the buildings were built in the early 20th century. The beautifully restored buildings serve as workshops for artisans and artists and as boutique shops. You can find also a cafe, called Onnenkukko. Poikilo Museums and Radio Museum are located in the same quarter. Both museums are very interesting and worth a visit.
