A blending of several small villages on the southwestern coast created the current incarnation of Kochi (or Cochin), where sunset strolls, sampling fresh fish from seaside vendors and boat rides through the islands just offshore top visitors' to-do lists. Art centers showcase the traditional dance, Kathakali. European influences are seen in the 16th-century Portuguese-built churches and forts, while the mark of early Chinese traders is visible in the unusual fishing nets dotting the shoreline.

Christina, the owner, as well as her assistant, were always ready to answer questions and search for the right-size of dresses or blouses for me. The clothing is exquisitely crafted and just gorgeous. Between the Home Stay next door, run by her sister Charlotte and the men's clothing boutique located on the other side of the ladies, the Walton family certainly contributes to the reputation and prestige of the Indian culture and, of course, Fort Kochi. Congratulations!

This is a must visit, unique boutique for any art and design aficionado ~ classy, elegant and offers a welcome retreat for design and garment lovers in myriad ways. So delighted to have tried and purchased high quality, handwoven garments that have a contemporary and aesthetic appeal. The garments have a wonderful flow and structure to them, and are ideal as transition wear during the day and evening. The founder and creator Joe was very gracious and his staff was very welcoming during our visit to Fort Kochi. This was undoubtedly a key highlight of our vacation!

Imran’s Perfume shop is amazing! I was visiting Kochi in 2019 with a friend and we picked up a few bottles of his cologne then. After using the cologne, we were amazed at how long they lasted throughout the day. A few small drops of it in the morning and you would be smelling great all day. So much better than the expensive cologne that we were used to from America. I loved his cologne so much that I contacted him recently to have an order shipped to me! Highly recommend to anyone visiting.

Tucked away in the tropical coast of Fort Kochi, this little design shop is a labour of love. At Anchovy, we focus on consciously produced goods, and work with some of the finest indie labels in the country to curate a range of clothing, books, accessories, and all the little things that bring us joy!
I'd recommend this place to anyone looking to curate their wardrobe with unique clothing and jewelry that's handcrafted, a far cry from the mass-production everyone's wearing these days. I frikking love this store. I spent a solid two hours drooling over all the merchandise, from the irresistible stationery to the curated jewelry to the multitude of comfortable clothes (most of which Maria, the owner, designs herself). I walked away with screen-printed books I'd never seen at regular bookstores and a host of cute stationery. Maria was warm and welcoming, and eager to talk to me about where she sourced her products from and the work that went into running the small business she's built up all by herself. If you're making a trip to Fort Kochi, stop by and take a peek - it makes for great conversation and a unique hoard to walk away with.
