Haleʻiwa is a North Shore community and census-designated place (CDP) in the Waialua District of the island of Oʻahu, City and County of Honolulu. Haleʻiwa is located on Waialua Bay, the mouth of Anahulu Stream (also known as Anahulu River). A small boat harbor is located here, and the shore of the bay is surrounded by Haleʻiwa Beach Park (north side) and Haleʻiwa Aliʻi Beach Park (south side). Its old plantation town character is preserved in many of the buildings, making this a popular destination for tourists and residents alike, visiting surfing and diving sites along the north shore.

My husband and I stopped by the Pakaloha Bikinis store in Haleiwa after a long day. Jackie was very helpful and attentive to my questions. She offered choices in size, color and styles without being overbearing. She was truly wonderful. I will be forever shopping at your store wether online or at the different locations!

A family friend is stationed on Oahu and gave me the great tip of skipping the more famous shaved ice place in favor of the Aloha General Store when passing through Haleiwa. So glad he did. The shaved ice was tasty tasty tasty. The woman behind the counter was so nice and helpful with recommendations; I got it "local style" (with vanilla ice cream under the shaved ice). The owner does it right, using the right ice shaving machine and replacing the blade every couple weeks to ensure the perfect fluffy texture. I don't even remember what flavors she gave me - papaya and two others? It was delicious. Though the General Store does take credit cards, they are cash only for single shaved ice orders, so be aware of that.
