Vancouver was founded as “Gastown” by an Englishman with a penchant for beer and storytelling. Today Gastown is a historic section of the Canadian metropolis, and the lively pubs still reflect the area’s former status as a sort of community drinking center. The city’s forests, grand parks, and impressive suspension bridge beckon travelers to explore them, as do the city’s shops and museums. Relive the glory of the 2010 Winter Games with visits to Olympic venues and the marvelous Olympic Cauldron.

More than 50,000 pieces of different kinds native fine jewelry and art, gemstone and one of a kind designer's jewelry in both silver and gold. It is extremely challenging to showcase our enormous collection both in store and online. Please follow us on facebook and twitter for more updates.
I love how expansive the Silver Gallery's collection is, with trays and displays spanning everywhere across the store, and jewelry available at literally any price point; from simple silver rings, with or without gemstones, at $20-60, all the way through glittering rings, earrings, necklaces, and other pieces behind glass and costing over $100, and up to giant, striking, polished minerals on display, priced at tens of thousands, and anything in between. I spent hours trying on all sorts of different rings, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, encouraging me to ask if I needed anything taken out of its case or put aside. I eventually found a stunning oval aquamarine stone ringed in small white sapphires, that was silver plated with white gold, and cost around $380--an incredibly affordable and stunning choice for an engagement ring! Then my partner ended up commissioning a large faceted rose quartz ring, in a size 14.25, for which Pam helped us connect with the only artist who had the necessary materials. Then when the canadia post strike affected the ring's ability to be shipped on time, Pam made sure that they would receive it from a friend of the artist who was traveling to Vancouver. The custom ring was also incredibly affordable, and due to it being made overseas and the rose quartz being chosen from a photo, Pam assured us that the deposit would be returned if the ring didn't turn out to be right. But it was perfect!Definitely worth a visit if you are exploring the downtown/gastown area, as there are thousands of stunningly creative pieces to admire, and definitely DEFINITELY worth looking into if you are in need of a unique gift and are looking for jewelry in any price range.

Serious sneaker collectors love this Cambie Street store featuring its own upscale brand focused on limited-edition designs that double as exquisite works of art and are displayed as such.
It was our first trip in Vancouver and I found SIX HUNDRED FOUR by chance, an interesting shoe gallery that the designs were collaborated with their local artists. An sneaker head / a shoes fan not to be missed. 604 quoted, if i remember - " SHOES is a shoes but it has their own story to tell. With me #77 PYROMANIA added in my few sneakers.

Having bought John Fluevog shoes from Vancouver and Portland last year, we came to Amsterdam from London specifically to shop at the John Fluevog shop as it’s the nearest to us. The level of customer care we received was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for the people serving us. I say people, as we had two friends with us and we were all trying on shoes. The Iranian shop manager (at least he appeared to be the manager) was incredibly knowledgable about the best fit and type of shoe we would want. He was very patient, allowing us to try different styles and sizes without any fuss. After buying 5 pairs between us, we left very happy. We called in 2 days later and were offered coffee and shelter from the rain! I definitely recommend a visit for a browse or to buy some lovely shoes.

We went past this shop whilst we were on the Hop on Hop of bus, and my eyes were drawn to the amazing display in Hudson's shop front. I was brought back to the time I drove past Harrods in London for the very first time. On the second day of our hop on hop off bus pass (well worth buying), we hopped off as the stop was right in front of Hudson's front door. The shop was filled from top to bottom with Canadian souvenirs. I managed to find some gifts for all the family back home. This is a delightful shop and well worth a look see.
