O Cesto Artesanato

Reviewed By imagine65 - Bradenton, United States

After a dozen predictably cheap souvenir shops in each town, finding this store was a treat. I liked the cork purses, which were unique and well made. The ceramics were equally good. Go, you'll like it! Staff is friendly, speak English, and are very helpful.

This is a late review, but it was a very nice stop in the area. The tile making & painting demonstration was interesting, and the people who work there are really friendly and knowledgeable. Recommended!

Casa da Avo Berta

Grandma Berta's House is much more than a store. It's a house full of craft products and 100% portuguese, combined with a cafetaria servisse to remind the snacks served at home of our grandparents. Grandma Berta's House appears as a tribute to Grandma Berta that existed in our family. In her backyard it was usual to see painted clay pots of red with white polka dots, painted by her husband Eduardo (the "bald" Grandfather). The furniture that makes up our space come from another grandmother, Isabel. And the walls?! Ah... the walls are dressed up in family photographs tha tell real stories passed at the old times. Here you find a little bit of the best products made in our country. Crafts, soaps, ceramics, needlework, stationery, cans, biscuits and more... Behind the counter you'll find us... granddaughter Ana and Andreia great-granddaughter. We want you to feel at home, revisit memories, traditions and flavors of other times. Welcome to Casa da Avó Berta!

Corticarte - Arte em Cortica

Reviewed By lvsdx

The cork factory tour was an included stop on our Globus trip. I didn't know much about cork. The tour was well worth the time. Our very informative tour guide demonstrated harvesting the cork, processing it and showed the multitude of cork products that result. They have a gift shop offering all kinds of cork products to buy. Great stop for souvenirs.
