We stayed 2 nights, upon going to our destination and upon returning home. Both times the check-in was impeccable. Very friendly and correct. First time we had room 107 that is okay, but not really the family room we had booked in my opinion, 2nd time we had room 120 that was more the we needed, beautiful room. So it compensated. The rooms are German, they have an old look and feel, but that's on purpose, it is an 450 year old building. The bathrooms could use a hand and I wouldn't put carpets on the floor, but they are nice. The food at night. We took both times the 'Grillteller' The first time it was okay. It was a shame that they gave our plates to other people, where the kids put their hands in the plate and without any hesitation we got it afterwards. The second evening the man waiting us, was very rude and obnoxious. He thought he owned the place. The food wasn't what it was the first time. A lot of fat on the meat.Breakfast: Breakfast is very basic, but okay. I didn't take the fruit because it didn't look attractive. What was very disturbing was, that when we had a drink and even with the food the waiting staff was very hesitant to put the bill on our room.

This traditional Bavarian inn is neither a beergarden nor a fancy restaurant, somewhere in-between. The service is friendly and attentive, the menu is mostly Bavarian, regional and seasonal, offering a good selection at reasonable prices. The ambience inside is okay, and the garden is really nice. Well worth a visit (or two).

While stying 1 night in Weyarn, we decided to find a restaurant around our hotel and following our intuition and the GPS... we ended up in this restaurant in the middle of nowhere...Good for us because we really enjoyed our dinner that we took outside!A bit + for the waitress who was really nice since she first asked if she had to translate the menu and then spent 10 minutes explanaing each dish one by one!We took the grilled porc which was delicious and the desert which was also great! We did eat outside and the terrasse waas really nice close to the river and apprently the owner live just nextdoor.I do recommand this restaurant... but the only negative thing is that it's not esy to find for tourist!

Mangfalltal Alm is located in Kleinhöhenkirchen and is a great place to stop when walking, hiking or cycling the Mangfall valley. It is only open from Thu - Sun and is actually more than just a cafe. Obvioulsy they do have coffee and cake (yep - scrumptiously, delicious and home-made *yummy*), but they also offer lighter Bavarian meals and open sandwiches - and yes, beer! There is inside and outside seating - nice and friendly staff - so yes,

After they woke up the village a few years ago while building very nice new houses and condos around the old monastery, this nice little Cafe is the perfect place for a coffee, light lunch or a great piece of cake. It's quiet and surrounded by a beautiful mix of old and new buildings. It's worth a break regardless if you just going between MUnich and the lakes or from northern parts of the country towards Austria or Italy. Just 3 min away from the autobahn exit Weyarn, but already miles away from traffic, tourism and stress. Enjoy it. Life is too short to rush.

Brigitte was the sweetest waitress. 9 of us from the US arrived late for dinner one evening this past May. Each one of us agreed it was the best meal we had on our vacation... and we are a tough bunch, ages 18 through 60! My niece said it was the best hamburger she ever had in her life! Thank you so kindly for your hospitality...weâll spread the word and hope to be back again some day. 5 Stars!!! JaniceDear Janice, thank you so much for your kind and lovely words. We hope to welcome you again at our Landgasthof Neukirchen!Enjoy your vacation and just the best wishes!

Traditional Bavarian Restaurant Located In The Heart Of The Golden Valley
The owners of this eaterie are dedicated to hunting. Most walls are covered in antlers or other hunting trophies. Just behind us sat the Golden Pheasant after whom the Gasthaus is named. Some early asparagus soup was much enjoyed, however, Mrs Mac and I found the wild garlic soup had been swamped with cream and the croutons were few and very soft. The local trout, both rainbow and brown, my choice was fried to perfection and was so fresh. A really delicate clear river taste. The fried and boiled kartoffel was average. For dessert we mistook Philidelphia tiramisu for the real thing, a massive mistake, even the sliced strawberries did not help. Noting our disappointment, the host offered us his own prune infused schnapps, wow full marks, so fruity absolutely spot on. A great end to an average meal.

Actually to good to be recommended.A very Bavarian place, very authentic but the cosmopolitan side of the country. The owner and chef is a great blend between Lederhosen and Hardrock. The menue offers all great floors of authentic Bavarian cooking. The staff is friendly and straight. If you plan to go, be early or make your reservation upfront -otherwise you may not get a seat at all. But don't worry, there are more good places within a 10km radius.
