Zusammenfassung: man könnte sich fragen warum meine Bewertung so niedrig und im Titel steht "2. Beste Pizza in GieÃen"? Die Antwort ist einfach. Das Niveau der italienischen Restaurants/Pizzerien in GieÃen ist schwach und damit es reicht nach Nudelstube für den 2. Platz. Lokal: Ausserhalb des Zentrums in einem Trakt mit anderen Geschäften. Die Einrichtung typisch für viele Familien-Restaurants in Italien also ohne Geschmack aber authentisch. Geeignet fürs kommen mit der Familie. Romantischer Abend oder Businessessen fallen aus. Service: nur ok. Bierauswahl (vom Fass): Licher also ok. Weinauswahl: nur ok. Küche also das Wichtigste: Das Produkt entspricht der deutschen Vorstellung einer Pizza und für einen normalen Deutschen ist gut. Die Bewertung der 4 wichtigsten Komponente der perfekten Pizza sieht wie folgt aus: Teig nur 3 (ist nicht leicht und Rande muss man lassen), Sauce 3 (zu wenig saftig), Käse 3+, Zutaten und Kompositionen 3 (vor allem Salami könnte besser sein). Olivenöl schwacher Qualität.Preisleistungsverhältnis: Pizza kostet 7-9,50 also ok für die 30 cm Pizza. BofG - Wiederkommen/Empfehlungsfaktor (0-100%): 40% ich komme wenn ich muss.

Wir waren jetzt mittlerweile an mehreren Abenden im Pig, weil wir dem Laden mehr als eine Chance geben wollten. Das beste vorab: Es ist echt schick da drin.Nur leider ist dort eine sehr seltsame Stimmung, die man nur schwer beschreiben kann. Wir haben uns dort nicht wohl gefühlt. Teilweise ist das Personal langsam, unaufmerksam und nicht besonders kompetent. Auch wird man manchmal etwas herablassend behandelt. Vor allem wenn man versucht dort eine Veranstaltung zu organisieren ist das Verhalten an Arroganz kaum zu übertreffen. Hier kann man es sich anscheinend leisten für alles extra Geld zu verlangen. Also Gast fühlt man sich nicht wirklich willkommen.

I was with a party of six for lunch, which was very good, and reasonably priced. The restaurant is very atmospheric in a medieval style, and the service was courteous and prompt. The restaurant itself is probably not worth a special trip, but Burg Gleiberg is, so, while you are in the vicinity, try the restaurant as well.

Wir waren schon mehrmals hier und haben jeweils Pizza, Pasta oder Fleischgerichte gegessen. Wir waren immer begeistert von der Qualität der Küche und der Freundlichkeit des Personals. Ein Restaurant, das man nur empfehlen kann.

We took our Giessen, Germany hosts to this restaurant that we had read good reviews about as our thank you to them. They had not been there as yet. It was a fabulous dinner, exquisite flavors and tastes, beautifully served. Each of us were delighted with our meals. The service was impeccable but not intrusive, albeit a little on the slow side (which has been true more often than not in our whole European experience this time). It was expensive but appropriate for our purposes.

We recently stopped here after touring Burg Gleiburg. We sat outside in the beer garden. Nice atmosphere. The wait staff promptly brought a menu and took our drink order. After that however, it took a long time for her to return and actually take the food order, and much longer to receive anything. We never did receive our full order! The few people working were simply overwhelmed and disorganized. We watched as they repeatedly tried to deliver part of our food order to different tables. We kept trying to flag down a server to get it brought to us, but finally just gave up.

1.Problem with the reception days and hours.When i arrived(Monday 21.30), a sing posted on the door: free day on Sunday and Monday. Is clearly specified on the reservation:On business days: from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM.2. Parking places are occupied, only if u are lucky you might catch one.3. Room is very simple, rudimentary.4. Bathroom OK. Shower cabin.5. They promise a free bottle of water per stay, but the room has no drinks at all.5. Beautiful village, on a hill, is a pleasure to walk around.All in all is ok for a short stay, as a backup. I wouldn't recommend it otherwise.
