Set in a narrow lane off the main street in Wertheim makes for a lovely setting. Friendly staff provided good service. The menu offered a good range of German foods as well as the local draught and bottled beers. The restaurant was frequented by locals making it quite a festive place.

This is an italian restaurant with a terrific patio. We had a relaxing three hour dinner while enjoying a warm early summer evening. The service was good but not a positive highlight.I'm going to be picky in this review since at the price point they charge the food should be excellent. We had both the fish and beef carpaccio for our group. It was excellent. Everyone liked the flavors of their main courses. Personally, I found my meal and a taste of the other dishes too salty. Not bad enough to send the dishes back but bad enough to not bother cleaning off the plate. For me it turned what could have been a great meal into just an average dinner.My suggestion is to tell them no salt when you order your meal. Let's hope they get the messageoverall we enjoyed our evening.

This was the most amazing and pleasurable dining experience during our month long stay in Germany. AND They accept all Major Credit Cards including American express!! The meals feature lunch and dinner dining with a full bar and the desserts are to die for. They have an active Facebook "Restaurant Malerwinkel " Visit their page for pictures of amazing genuine German cuisine. The asparagus are the best we have ever had. Might I add for those who care, lol....Having special Diet Needs, i.e. gluten and carb restriction, The Chef Rene Gosi was not bothered by my requests at all. They speak English, are very friendly and the staff Catherine and Simone are quite personable. They have both indoor and outdoor dining and serve great espresso.

Da der Campingplatz direkt vor unserer Tür liegt, gehen wir des öfteren dort Essen.Das Preisleistungsverhältniss wie auch das Essen ist sehr gut und kann nur weiter empfohlen werden.

I found the food to be excellent even if the staff were less than attentive. great view across the town, I visited in the evening and despite its position there were plenty of patrons, a lot obviously local. recommended

1.Good friendly service.2.Nice atmosphere that a local German restaurant should be like.3. Excellent German cuisine.We reserved a table for a family of 8 adults and 2 teenagers. Everyone in the family were happy with their orders and food tasted really good. Highly recommended for anyone looking for good local German cuisine.

This was a gem of a find in Wertheim. The wait staff was super friendly and built a cheeky rapport with my group of travelers. The food was very good, the portion sizes were good and the prices reasonable. I highly recommend the kurbiskernöl suppe (pumpkin seed soup with pumpkin seed oil - very tasty and good for you). Wiener schnitzel (which is properly made to not be too oily as so many other schnitzels in this part of the world are) and to finish off the Kaiserschmarren! Yummy

We have been staying in Wertheim Centre with 4 adults, 1st night we went to this restaurant upon arrival. We told waitress we hurried, but although we were still more than half an hour before last order, they already were acting very difficult. Appearantly one of those restaurants where everything else seems to be arrogantly regarded more important than servicing who's paying them: clients, you and we. And guess what: 3 of us ordered asparagus which were cooked much too shortly, they were still too hard, not good. We told the waitress, but they did not respond at all, no apologies, no compensatory coffee or discount for bad food. 4th meal was well cooked, but nothing special.

On our trip home from Munich to Amsterdam we decided to stop here for dinner. Very nice dinner and kibd service in a beautiful town!
