Traditional tyrolean restaurant and cafe with regional and international specialities
really nice food good service. the cheese obatzer cheese is definitly worth trying . aslo spaghetti with lenses(lentils)

This restaurant is tucked back in this village, so many locals know & frequent it. Great venison goulash with red cabbage and a semmel knodel, tender delicious deer and not 'gamey' tasting. I love to get this in this region...as it's not made like this in other parts of the world. My husband had a fantastic delicate smoked trout that was caught in the small lake that this restaurant is on. There's an outdoor patio in summer, the only challenge were the flies. It's a farming area. The prices are moderate and portions generous. Great wine & beer as well. On Wednesday night you may dance to a fun woman singing Karyoke type music and her son will join in with his accordian for tyroler music...good family time.

We went there 3 days in a row and ate probably most of the menu. Food quality was incredible. All dishes made of local ingredients, and all Tyrolean specialties including their knodels, graukase and others (sorry forgot those names). Restaurand is placed in coutryside, but you have to got through the forest. It's location is idyllic. I will come back for sure. It has two serving rooms but they are not very large, i think it is about 12 tables all together.

Slightly off the main thoroughfare and still quite busy, which is often a good sign. The clear soup with pancake was fine but smaller than many; the garlic cream soup was very nice and is seriously creamy. The fitness salad was a little basic and the Tirolean potato / beef / bacon dish with an egg on top had a lot of oil / grease which meant it was heavy going. The service was good, but the food was a disappointment overall.

Accomodation was good, but the personal behaviour to our group was really "fascinating". Two friend (couple) come for dinner to this Gasthof and after 10pm they were throwed out beaucouse of??? we didn't know, they spend money there of eating food and beverages...but they coul'd not stay with us after dinner. We could stay there in "living" room but they not. The breakfast was too low for standart accomodation. And fewtime the owner was drunk and rude! Also after silvester they told us we were terrible group. Nobody from our group was drunk even do any bad things, beaucouse we woud like to wake up early morning and go to the hills...

Actually we knew the Trofana before, but were never much interested in high way restaurants. Anyway, we stopped and had, surprisingly, excellent food in the little restaurant in tyrolean style. Again surprisingly, the service was friendly and quick, which contributed to an all in all very pleasant lunch. So if to stop on the highway in Tyrol, this might be a good opportunity, if you are not disturbed by too much "Kitsch" and too many tourist busses.

Weâve been coming to this beautiful region of the Tyrol for over 20 years and this lovely traditional Austrian gasthof with its wonderful display of flowers is one of our favourite places to eat and drink. We always check into our hotel in Holzleiten and the first thing we do (ruhetag â rest day or day off permitting) is walk the lovely scenic and peaceful route to Auslandhof for late lunch. The ruhetag day(s) are always sign posted well advance so as to avoid disappointment. This time we sat outside in the lovely sunshine looking out at the amazing views. We had two Austrian beers and ordered bratwurst, sauerkraut, mustard, grated horseradish and bread. A perfect combination. The food is always delicious and the service is friendly and professional. We love this place and canât wait to come back here again. Highly recommend it.Dear Roy and Jeannette, thank you very much for your great review! We are happy the lamb Bratwurst from our own farm tasted well and you could enjoy the panoramic scenery from our terrace. It won't take long before the 'Lärchenbrennen' will begin and we can enjoy the golden colors of the trees! We are looking forward to seeing you again.Best regards from Aschlandhof
