We visited Jagerhaus after hearing good things about it from a local. We arrived around noon and the place was packed with all outside tables occupied. We waited until one became available and placed our drinks orders. While we waited for these to arrive we looked at the menu with a view to ordering lunch, the food looked great as we saw plates being taken to other tables. Unfortunately we were inundated with wasps flying and crawling around our table and so decided to leave after finishing our drinks. Of course this isn't the restaurants fault but we couldn't relax and enjoy a meal there and didn't want to move inside as several other groups nearby did.The staff were very friendly and tolerant of our very bad attempt at speaking German and helped us by speaking almost perfect English. We will return to sample the food next time we are in this area.

We ate outside in a beautiful garden courtyard. The bells play on the hour and we were serenaded by piano, lovely. The food was delicious and freshly made. The service was friendly and attentive. We would definitely come back.

We've been here before, and were pleased to sit outside watching the barges and day trip boats go past. The same friendly waitress as last year was there. Reasonable drinks prices.

Had not expected to find such a high level restaurant in that small village. Nice atmosphere, very attentive service. Rinderkraftbruehe was excllent, the Roulade was a bit salty. Overall high end food and highly to be recommended

Die Lauschhütte ist eine sehr schön gelegene Waldgaststätte. Hier ist gerade am Wochenende immer viel los. Eine reichhaltige Speisekarte macht jeden glücklich. Das Essen ist ordentlich und preiswert, der Service effizient und nett. Nachmittags gibt es leckeren, hausgemachten Kuchen. Die Lauschhütte muss man auf jeden Fall gesehen haben.

We stayed at a house at Schindledorf and Cafe Suhle was a short walk. We first went for afternoon drinks and found the staff both friendly and attentive. I speak limited German but had no issues and the landlady was good fun! We booked breakfast for all 6 of us the next morning which was glorious and do much food. We also had an evening meal that was enjoyed by all. I would recommend a visit and will certainly go back in the future.

After a hike we were looking for coffee and cake in Stromberg. Luckily we found this little weinbar/kafe. Some people were having a glass off wine but we ordered cappucino's and a some of cinnamon cake. The coffee was great but the cake was even better. Brought on a piece of slate there was the cake and some matching icecream decorated like we were in a Michelin star restaurant! We need more places like this!

Having just arrived to Frankfurt airport and traveling west, our group of four let Samantha, our GPS personality, choose where we to stop for lunch. She could not have made a better selection. Since it was late for lunch and too early for dinner we dined from a limited carte. But everything was delicious! Hot krensuppe with a mysterious spiced oil followed by our first sampling of Veiner Schnitzel, yum. With our thirst quenched by a local Riesling the meal was complete.
