when staying in Pertisau this is on the top ten list of places to go, we got the nostalgia bus up from Pertisau lake side which in its self was great (I like old buses) the food was awesome with staff in traditional drindl, its a childs paradice from mini zoo, trampolining, all kinds of activities, knepp walk, relax on a hot summers day in the cradles and hammocks,we then walked back to Pertisau which they say takes 2 hours lovely walk following the dried up river bed with a half way drink stop at the next alm. the views are spectacular, so forget the lake steamer and the shops and do this,

As a couple we went here for drinks. Apparently no one ever orders coctails but I ordered their alcohol free Mojito and it was great. The ice coffee was cery tasty too. Worth the extra walk inland from the lake. Going back for food later this week as they actually have a selection of vegetarian food!

Located in the center of Maurach, Cafe-Restaurant Klingler spoils you at all times of the day - no matter if you want to enjoy lunch, a coffee break, dinner or a solid snack in between. Well-known for its specialties made of homemade ice-cream and its tem
Stopped off here for lunch, beautiful sunny day to sit out on the sun terrace. Staff were great and helpful. The cold meat salads we ordered were delicious. Then we decided to have an ice cream, fantastic choice of different sundies, a lot with liqueurs. Happy days. To say we were full when we left is an understatement!! Will certainly pop in again the next time we are in Achensee.......

Our ambitious kitchen team is committed to the regional character of our menu and we are proud to be a ,,Tiroler Wirtshaus" (tyrolean inn)! We are convinced that locally sourced ingredients boost the kitchen quality and we have been awarded the AMA seal f
You can stay inside or at the veranda on very spacious tables. The dishes are various and good : you can choose between a long list of them (traditional or not). We tested the austrian Schnitzel, the Austrain Cordon Bleu and all the traditional dishes from Tyrol: all of them rich and with taste. About the dessert, they have of course strudel but a choice of ices and other desserts too: we tasted the desserts, not the ices, and they were all really goods. The staff is gentle and professional. By the way the restaurant was always full of people and the second day it should be better to had reserved due to a musicians day (but however they found a place for us inside).

Looks lovely in the photos! Despite enquiring at the tourist information and passing two menus on route we arrived after a long walk in the rain to find that the restaurant could only serve goulash soup and drinks. The 'cook' had no knowledge of the food he would prepare and as one of our children has a serious allergy and we were a long way from any medical help we were unable to eat at the restaurant and had another one hour plus walk to return to civilisation and (late) lunch! Further, the restaurant still encourages smoking in the restaurant and customers have to walk through the smoking part to access the enclosed non-smoking section! Surely this is now against the law in Austria? The restaurant should have posted information on the menu boards in the car park and on route. Clearly they had given no information to the tourist office (or the tourist office had not taken account of information given). The tourist information had stated that the walk would take a half an hour! The route signing stated one hour which was much closer to the mark! This was a disastrous trip and we will not be trying a second time.

The title says it all. My parents eat there 4 times in the week they are in austria. It's good (beware: not very good!), a lot and cheap. The total package made me give the top rating, but some dishes aren't that good. Especially the cordon bleu was mediocre. The fish was excellent.

The food was delicious, hearty food and huge portions. Exactly what you want from winter Austrian food after a dayâs skiing. Family owned, filled with Austrians and seemingly untouristy apart from us. Up a long windy snowy road, so definitely go by taxi. Get the calorie-laden Kaisermarren for dessert (one between 4 to 6 people probably).

Fantastic view from the large terrace, 1700 m above sealevel, in typical traditional Alpine style, easy to reach and so far off at the same time. There are many different ways to reach it: You can take the bus in Schwaz and then walk for an hour, you can take your own car and drive right there, you can ride with your mountain bike and then continue to the Zillertal, you can even stay there over night and climb on the top of one of the mountains surrounding the hut, in winter take the toboggan or snowshoes with you or you can co cross-county skiing ...Among the locals this Alpine hut is famous for its giant Wiener Schnitzel.

The restaurant has a pleasant athmosphere and the staff is friendly and nice. The dishes were not terrible, but they lacked the standard that I would have wished for from authentic good local cuisine. The salad was a bit sad, with the potato salad being wet and not very delicious. The main dishes were somewhat well done but again not really delicious and so most in attendance struggled to finish their big portion plates. One can definitely eat there rather than go hungry, but there's no need to go their twice.
