Very good food and excellent service!! Left the place far from hungry. Only bad thing is lack of accessibility for disabled people.

Buona cucina tedesca , personale gentile e disponibile.

We live nearby and a few times stopped by at the end of our walk. Very good and friendly service. Food and light fair is typical for the area. I give it very high thumbs up. We will go again

Even though I only visit Remshalden-Grunbach every few months only, a dinner at the "Weinstube Traube" is an absolut must. The small restaurant is located in the center of the old village of Grunbach and especially on weekends, a reservation is highly advisable. The food is delicious - mostly local specialities but also cross-over fusion food of outstanding quality. Local wines and brandies round up the culinary experience. It is run by a very nice family and the general atmosphere is very pleasant. Even though the place has gained some fame in the area, it still retains a "Stammtisch" where the locals meet and sip their glass of wine. The service is close to perfect, families are highly welcomed (my daughter is usually given pencils and paper). If asked, they are very open to vary the side dishes given in the menue or to do smaller portions for the kids. It can get quite stuffy if the place is packed, but all tables are along the walls, so just open one of the windows to let some fresh air in.The menue is online on their website and includes some seasonal items. Check it out at www.traube-grunbach.de

Swabian restaurant and wine bar, which specialises in regional wines and food (you also get some local beer). You will find a wide selection of rump steak / roast beef varieties, roast pork with homemade sauce, "Spatzle" (swabian noodles) and roast potato

Ate here one evening before a business meeting by invitation. The place is what is expected from a place serving German cuisine at its very best. The menus are seasonal - but of cause with some of the standards, but why got for that when there are so many local dishes with seasonal raw materials incorporated. For a starter I had Maultashe in der Brühe - and even though Maultashen is officially declared a regional speciality of Schwaben, there are clearly variations on the theme.Whereas I previously had got Maultashen in the concept of oversize ravioli, this was more like a Roulade cake in slices about 2 cm thick (I should note that I had got something similar in Trier and thought is a slight misunderstanding - this is now corrected). But anyway - just delicious! As a main cause I had pork tenderloin (from a local special pork) with mushrooms (chanterelles - at least most of it) and spätzle. The tenderloin which was extremely - pardon the pun - tender, and the accompanying mushroom sauce was just so spicy and concentrated that it fitted perfectly to the meat and spätzle. After that I had to give in - no room for dessert aside from a double espresso and a local weinbrand.Highly reccomendable.
