I have stayed at this hotel for many years on my walking tour along the Mosel and I always look forward to my visit. The facilities are very good and the restaurant serves excellent food and has many wines on offer, You can take you meals out on the terrace or inside. Breakfast is very good and it sets you up for the day. The room I stay in is in the new block and is very spacious and modern. The hosts are very welcoming and accommodating of your needs. I think for me it takes a lot to beat it. Thanks once again to a very enjoyable stay

Just picked this place by chance after strolling around the village. We are definitely glad that we did. The meal was great value and enjoyable and while sitting at the bar afterwards for a couple of extra drinks, we were engaged in conversations with friendly locals and staff, despite being non-German speakers. Very welcoming place.
A great hour spent chatting to the people managing the establishment and the locals whilst learning about their wines, and a very enjoyable hour it was, this place should not be missed on a visit to Piesporter.

Thereâs a small dining room attached to the Hotel Piesporter Goldtropfchen. Itâs really intended for guests - but it advertises its menu outside and visitors are welcome. We were already staying at the hotel, and on a hot summerâs evening it was an easy choice to dine out on the cool terrace. After a beer and a glass of literally house wine, we shared a âMosel tapasâ a selection of cheeses and meats from the area; beautifully selected and presented. Mains of House Schnitzel and Salad with Chicken and Mushrooms were both delicious, and again presented with care. Rounded off with a house desert of yoghurt and cherries.Perfectly accompanied by another house Mosel (No 7 - a bargain at â¬19), and rounded off with a plum brandy digestif. This was a sublime meal; certainly the best we had on our German trip - helped by the surroundings, but also by excellent cooking and service. The food came to â¬40, which I would consider a bargain. If you havenât already realised, I wouldnât hesitate to recommend it. Perfect.
We called in here for some lunch whilst staying in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch, both dishes has a superb Riesling sauce.Genuine and friendly service surrounded our âextendedâ lunch.

We made another visit to Moselstube where we have enjoyed many good meals on our regular trips to the region. Of course we were not disappointed the food and value were both excellent and we will return on our next visit. If you are in Piesport this small family run business is well worth a visit.

Two German speaking and one non speaking British people arrived at the restaurant, there were two tables with diners already seated, we waited and after several minutes someone appeared and we were shown to a table which was set for two. There was another long wait before a menu appeared and an even longer wait for our order to be taken. It was after we gave our order that the gentleman turned to the diners behind us and made a comment about the English.... how dare he two of us were born and bred proud Scots. Two steaks, one rare and the other well done and a wienschnitzel with chips were ordered and two beers and a glass of wine. The drinks came and some cutlery and a napkin were placed on the table, no giving to the diner. The steaks came eventually, both rare so one sent back, the chips were so hard they could only be eaten with fingers. We asked for the dessert menu while he was clearing the plates and it took him 10 minutes to produce it. Nobody ever came for our order so when the gentleman eventually walked behind the bar we called over for the bill. We paid. We were never made to feel welcome and we will never go back again.

We had promised ourselves a drive up to the Mosel Panorama hotel and restaurant perched high above the Mosel river overlooking the village of Piesport. We got there early evening and were surprised that we were the only dining guests - in fact we seemed to be the only guests at all. Having parked in the large free car park at the rear of the property we entered and I went looking for service personnel. I found a lady in the kitchen who looked slightly bemused but, having recovered her composure reassured me that the kitchen was still open. Then another lady appeared, explained that they don't have so many guests in the evening but that they could serve us as the official closing time of the restaurant was 8 o'clock. I chose the 6 vineyard snails and a dish comprising blood sausage, liver sausage and fried potatoes. This was all OK. To drink we started with some "Federweiser" and followed this with a glass of local Piesporter white wine. The service was very personal - we were the only guests which was a pity as this impacted a bit on the atmosphere. But never mind. It being well after dark the view down to the river valley was rather obscured but usually this is a great place to admire the views and eat & drink well.

Had a truly delightful meal of venison, one of the highlights of our holiday. The owner was attentive, spoke excellent English and helped us with our wet motorbike gear ensuring we were comfortable. The restaurant had great character and we'd have no hesitation in giving a firm recommendation.

We were told to go to this resturant by another restauranteur in town. Lovely ( I mean drop dead gorgeous view from upstairs dining room). View of vineyards across river Moselle were fabulous. Outside seating would have been offered but for the rain. Not speaking a word (maybe zwei) I was able to order a dry Riesling and a nice Rose. Food was another point. I thought I was getting dumplings but got potatoes in cream with shrimp. It was very good but I'm not picky. Wife had just what she ordered and was as happy as a clam. Learn German or be happy with this type of food. I found it tasty.
