We visited this restaurant last Sunday night. We loved the atmosphere which was very pleasant and relaxed even tho the restaurant was busy. The food was very good and our teenage sons particularly enjoyed the hot chocolate pudding. The service was excellent; the manager (owner?) on learning that we were English came over and chatted to us and was very friendly. It's a restaurant that we would love to return to.

This quaint restaurant is a must for anyone visiting Schongau. Speciality of the house is Flammkuchen, a southern German take on the pizza, but much better, wafer thin crispy base, with various toppings. The kitchen is a shining example of keeping things simple yet really tasty. Very well priced and a great wine list too.

We made an impromptu visit here before lunchtime. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We had some delicious traditional sausages and pretzels. The kids enjoyed the games. We'd recommend popping in here whilst you are travelling the Romantic Road.

Introduction: we were a couple walking the King Ludwig way. This was one of our stops on the way. Arrival: not the best, you walk up from the road that runs towards the station, it is about 1km, through a residential area and then an industrial area. The inn is on the left, slightly out of place. There was some confusion upon arrival, we were given a room but our bags had been put in another room. Sorted. Room: very large, comfortable but lacking in personality. Plenty of hot water and quiet. Food: dinner was very reasonably priced and catered happily for two vegetarians, plenty of it, very nicely served. Excellent beer. Lots of locals which was nice. Breakfast was a disappointment, bread rolls, cheese and jam no juice or cereals. The man who served us was charming though. Overview: they would not have to do much to make this place really nice, the staff are lovely and were very welcoming. It is about 2km into the town centre so you are a bit stuck if you want to go anywhere. Unfortunately it rained when we arrived so we were not able to take advantage of the beer garden that looked nice.

We stayed one night in this town and had both lunch and dinner here. The food and beer were excellent and the service (different waiters) was extremely friendly and helpful. In the evening lots of locals came in to play cards - a lovely atmosphere.

The restaurant is good. We had traditional dishes that were served fast and everything tasted good. There is also a terrace with a little playground for kids and they also have some small animals (rabbits).Value for money is very good in this restaurant.

This is a bar and cafe. They have a small menu but it's enough. The breakfast seems to be quite extensive and then they do baguettes salads and a few hot meals. They do great shakes and ice creams. They do have an English menu if you ask for it.

Couldnt fault the restaurant. Good food, well prepared, large portions and a good choice. Recommend the Venison Ragout, the Wiener Schnitzel and Muller Thurgau,
