The Schweinske method is at this point a familiar friend on the south side of the Elbe at Hamburg: beyond Harburg, the southwestern district of Neugraben also has its own Schweinske restaurant. To the pleasure of the inhabitants: delicious dishes, friendl
About every 6 weeks I am here for a coaching session and I am glad to say the service is friendly and fast. The food is good and fairly cheap. They have weekly specials for lunch and the breakfast rolls are right out of the oven. There is usually enough parking right outside the restaraunt. They also make a great schnitzel and fries :-)

Went here for a business meal. Really good quality food. Both the fish starter and main course were delicious. The dessert, usually my least favour course, was a selection of small deserts - creme brûlée, pear ice cream, chocolate mouse - and was very artistic and delicious. Wine and beer enjoyable too. Service attentive and despite the size of our group we were served in reasonable time and the food still acceptably warm. Pleasant surroundings too.

The service in this newly renovated hotel's restaurant is the best we have experienced in a while. The food was of a very high standard and not the 'heavy' plenty food that most of the German restaurants serve; more European. The staff were very welcoming and the restaurant is intimate.

We happened upon this restaurant while visiting the Christmas markets in Buxtehude. We were immediately charmed when we walked in as the atmosphere is wonderful. The staff were very friendly and welcoming even though the restaurant was very busy. We enjoyed one of the best meals we had during our two week stay. Highly recommend.

I choose to stay at this hotel because I need to do some in this area. So what can I say. It is not a big hotel, it's more like a questhouse, but it is ok. The rooms has no such much furniture but enough. There is no also air con or refrigerator. Maybe this is the way they use to have arround the county. But it is very cozy, everything. I didn't ear at the restaurant, but they have one. No supermarket close in the area. Nevertheless, for a transit I will recomand this place to stay.

I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this experience. The restaurant is set in a very old building in Buxtehude. The atmosphere is homely and cosy - though it can get very warm inside. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and produced an English menu when requested. There is a lot of choice on the menu; I tried the Weinerschnitzel (Vierländer Style), which was very good. Portion size was very generous, I was stuffed to the gills and couldn't finish the plate. A big, hearty, homely meal. I can't wait to go back.

On the last evening of our holiday we stayed in Landhaus Mienenbuttel and had dinner in their restaurant. No difficult menu, just good plain food!Staff very friendly.

A rather large party, including myself and my daughter, met here for dinner recently. Not surprisingly, the menu focuses on everything to do with potatoes, but actually there was much more on it including traditional schnitzels and even seasonal items like asparagus. In short, this restaurant exceeded our expectations. We ordered the potato & spinach casserole and a small potato pizza, which was pretty good and a total surprise as we've never considered making pizza with potato before. The service was very prompt and our large party had a great, relaxing evening.

We have been at the "Dorfkrug" the first time after the renovation and extension and we were possitively surprised. The atmosphere is nice, cosy and due to the open fire place warm. The srevice is excellent. The chef offered an "Amuse Bouche" and explained some of his ideas, the waitresses were very supporting, nice and friendly. The choise of food is fromtraditional german cuisine to mediterane food and all we had was very good. The fish was fresh, the duck was soft and juicy. The wine menue is good but nut over exciting. Special is the Smokers Lounge where they offer some cigars and and you can sit and have a nice digesive. We will go there again soon
