Tiroler Weinstube in Innsbruck is a cultural Austrian restaurant/pub. It doesn't strive for attention using fancy displays or an elaborate website. It is a local establishment that gives you a family-owned feeling that you may expect from a small-scale hotspot from the 70's and 80's. Charming in the sense that it never seems to make you feel marketed towards as a tourist, but slightly to the contrary as regulars stop their conversations as you walk in through a cloud of tobacco smoke to order a drink or request a table. The smaller non-smoking section is located in the rear while the few outdoor tables seem to allow for better ventilation. Rumors of massive serving sizes convinced us to order the smaller goulash plate with bread and the award winning best value choice pork with dumpling, gravy, and small side salad. What was served to us looked simple, but tempting. Exceptional taste and quantity for a fit couple in their mid-30's who are usually fairly critical of what they are served. Excellent value at â¬13.20 after tax (and â¬3.20 additional for a large dark brew) made us quite pleased with our experience apart from having to choose a few annoying flies outside over a denser smoke filled interrior. Recommended mostly for the value and quality of the food along with the authentic feeling, less so for the person who has issues with tobacco smoke. Waitress speaks English. We share other reviews on our blog, "Eat Wander Explore".

As is typical of a Tyrolean inn, the chef here serves only the very best from Tyrol and the rest of Austria. Variety and regional products are a priority for us. The ingredients largely come from the surrounding area - whether Tyrolean dumplings or Vienne
It's a huge restaurant with a lot of tables in different separated rooms and outside seating, too. Mostly they serve local dish. The staff was very attentive and fulfilled all our special requests. The food was very good and delivered very quick; but fresh cooked! We were so satisfied, that we'd come back the very next day!!We do highly recommend this restaurant !

I would recommend Fischerhäusl for an amazing food! We ordered Chefssalad and Schlutzkrapfen and were glad with our choice! Schlutzkrapfen is big ravioli filled with spinach and cheese (greed ones with cheese and white ones with spinach to be more colorful). Chefssalad consists of defferent green leaves, girgonzolla, apples, wallnuts and cranberries. Our waitress Melanie could have been a bit friendlier... A table can be booked online.

"Isserwirt" was my favorite back then in my student days 50+ years ago and it still is. Whenever I come to Innsbruck, I will go to there to have my beer(s) and "Schmankerls" (= local food specialties), preferably at that corner table in the "Beerstube". (I actually had my wedding dinner there 44 years ago!)I LOVE THAT PLACE!

Surrounded by historical buildings, like the first school in Innsbruck with its chapel, you can enjoy light and local cuisine away from the hustle and bustle of the town. At lunchtime the terrace provides shade and in the evening you can count the stars.
We spent a week in Tyrol and ate a lot of Schnitzel and spaetzle, but the ones here were the best we had. We ate a lunchtime and the service was quick and friendly. The waiters speak excellent English. The food was outstanding. We ate upstairs on the first floor. There is a great private dining room that would seat about 8-10 people that feels like your own Alpine chalet. Do not miss the Kaesspeatzle and the Preisselbeersaft (a traditional cranberry juice drink).

This little place was a great find. Very rustic, wooden and small with a cosy warm atmosphere. The sandwiches for the children were delicious and the platter of cured meats delicious and plentiful. The staff were all exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Affordable prices; sandwiches at â¬5 a piece and platter â¬15 pp. We popped by again for a second visit and bought speck to bring back home. Highly recommended!
