Very nice place, with a lot of character, a very decent menu that can accommodate German and more European tastes, the food was delicious, but the waitress had an attitude that was borderline rude. Considering there were only two tables to look after and being off-season, I can barely imagine what it is like during peak time... Recommended for the food and the modestly-priced bill...

Visited this somewhat hidden away restaurant with a group of 7 friends -and we are so happy we went there! Walking into the back alley we loved the atmosphere right away. Nicely decorated and their food and wine followed up. All at good prices, particularly the wine. Good quality at a good price -what more to ask for? Add a friendly staff to this and you have a top recommandation for where to dine in Bernkastel-Kued All the dishes we had were good, I loved the beetroot I had as a starter. Enjoy!

Having stayed in the suite room that could easily accommodate four to six people, I was totally impressed by the successful fusion of today's luxury and comfort in all the hotel facilities, while at the same time retaining the authentic historic atmosphere and many elements of a 19th century small town railway station. It absolutely attributed to a very pleasant and comfortable stay. Very well done!I will certainly stay here again when in the area.

What a fantastic pub hidden away in a small village. Truly worth driving to find. The owners are clearly passionate about their place and it shows in all the details. Very welcoming, good food and a world class whiskey and scotch collection! I was stunned at the amount of whiskeys they have available. I have only rarely seen collections like this, and usually only in major large cities like Chicago or New York. To find this in a small village in Germany blew me away. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. One of the bartenders, Sandra, gave me lots of tips of places to visit nearby. They also have a great outdoor beer garden area to sit at when the weather is nice. Whenever I find myself back in this area, I'll for sure be coming back to visit!

Went here due to the high rating. However,... It smells like a bar inside. It looks not very nice inside either. There were small flies, big flies and mosquitoes flying around and you heard several customers trying to catch them. Food was OK but small sizes. The Asian waitress was very friendly and helpful. Never again though....

Enjoyed a 4 course set menu,very reasonably priced (Euro 42). It was a beautiful evening, so we could sit in the terasse outside, enjoying the view of the garden. The food was excellent, very well prepared, and the service friendly. Certainly a place to recommend.

As you drive through the Hunsruck in Germany it will be evident that the whole region is deeply involved in gems, jewellery and mineral specimens, this is because stones and agates have been mined here for maye a thousand years. Should you drive along the B422 from Trier to Idar-Oberstein you will pass through the village of Allenbach and on the right of the road you will see the Hotel Steuer. Attached to the Hotel there is an excellent gem, jewellery and mineral shop, worth a visit even if you are only shopping for gifts. Having been diverted by the magnificent displays (and there is a lot to see) you will be in need of refreshment and sustenance, so call into the Hotel's cafe. Excellent coffee and a figure shattering selection of cakes! Should you really overdo it, a couple of hundred yards from the hotel there is a riverside walk set out as a nature reserve so you can walk it off. Worth a visit!

Nested in the heart of this stunning medieval village, Graacher Tor is offering a taste and an atmosphere typical matching the surrounding with a menu focusing on local dishes, with portions so generous that I recommend to share, and with a primary attention to ingredients, those are of pristine quality.Great service we had from smiling Julia that took perfectly care of us, she is young and talented.Wide wine selection as you can expect in one of the capitals of Mosel wine , pratically all wines are at Km 0 or just a little more.Make sure to take a walk before and after the meal in this village that is idyllic, and above and around you best Mosel vineyards.
