After a warm welcome, we took our seats in a traditional German style room. After studying the menu, we decided to take the 4 course fall menu, but asked to change the entrée. Instead of the figs, the smoked duckbreast. That was not a problem. After a little tasty greating from the kitchen came the duckbreast. It was a real delight, so tender and full of flavor. At this stage we realized that we had not made the right choice, since the portions were really huge. At home this alone would have been enough for an evening meal.Than came a really interesting pumpkin soup, flavoured with garam massala and pumpkin oil. Very, very good, but already now, we ate enough. And still we had to eat beefcheaks with salsify. Tender braised beef with a strong, deep tasting veal fond and al dente salsify clippings and 2 carrotpotatoe cakes. Really couldn't manage to eat it completely.Dessert was crème brûlée accompanied with tonkabean flavoured icecream. Pfffff, toooo much. For you reader, I would suggest to eventually take a starter and a main, and than decide on a dessert later on. We saw plates arrive at other tables and wondered how anyone could eat this completely. Or even better, ask for half portions. But tasty and well made it really was. Presentation was traditional. At this stage, I have to make an inbetween remark on behalf of the Varta restaurant guide. In the 2012 guide, they reward this restaurant 2 diamonds (out of 5). I believe this is overquoted (although my remark is only based on our 1 visit). We have eaten in other similar restaurants in Germany, quoted with only 1 diamond, and they were as good as this one, in some cases even better (see my other contributions). So we came with higher expectations and felt a litlle let down. Again this is on the account of Varta, and not this restaurant.Winelist is very reasonably priced, with a lot of local wines, other German regions, but also a nice collection of foreign ones.Friendly and helpfull service. I wonder why they do not carry a Michelin BIB gourmand since the 3 course menu is priced only 30,90⬠and this even on Saturday.

Eating, drinking and talking â you can do all that in the cosy, relaxed atmosphere of our Brasserie Aguila. Alongside exquisite wines, whiskies and cocktails, we serve typically Swabian and Mediterranean specialities in our wine bar. A speciality of the B
Food was excellent but I am still puzzled that personel working in restaurant are not trained enough on food allergies. That issue is some common that it is not understanble for me that the people are not able to reply to queries related to specific diet.

We offer you a german-romanian cuisine with delicios dishes..Welkome
I am writing the Rewiew in English that lots of people can understand it. The Restaurant is a Familiar place small and clean ,the owner is always very attentive to his clients needs.i recommended to all my friends and family.

Directly to the side of the historic Rathaus. Telephone 07145.96200
A positive surprise. I really appreciated all the food, simple but local and typical. We had a soup as starter and as main dish a plate for 2 with mixed meats, vegetables and french fries. Both quantity and quality was really satisfying. Again, far from a fine restaurant, but if you want to try the german taste and food, it's the right restaurant. The price was fair: with beers and a grappa, about 30 Euro per head.

My Bosch friends took me here following a business meeting. The food was excellent and the service was impeccable. There are few restaurants left in the world where the staff is attentive to the needs of the patrons. Schwabenstube is a spectacular exception. The owner is visibly involved in every aspect of the meal. He was clearly engaged not only during preparation but during serving and cleaning as well. Feel free to arrive hungry because the portions are not only tasty but sized for a strapping German worker. I found the meat to be tender and perfectly cooked. The cabbage was just what this American wanted. The salad was fresh, crisp and mildly dressed.Utensils were brought and cleaned as needed. The table was always clean and organized. We stayed very late and also enjoyed desert and warm coffee. We even had nice conversation with the staff.Respect the quality of this establishment and dress for the occasion. It will be more enjoyable for all.Highly recommended for a high quality gastronomic experience.

Diners and Ludwigsburg Visitorsi have for a long time not been to my hometown, as i work and live in London. Recently, my wider family went fror Dinner in Markgroeningen - approx 10 minutes outside of L´burg - and to a Restaurant which recently got very high remarks called "Herrenkueferei". Its very central, in the middle of the historic market town and the food and set-up is splendid - decor is flowerish, with half of a bookshop around for foodies to explore. We had a Spinach Soup and a Veal afterwards, very tasty and not overpriced for the quality. I wish this place good luck, hope it can keep up with its location a bit off the beaten track. If you come from a bit further away to Ludwigsburg and you can afford an evening - its a must go. Tel [--]frank
