Zentrale Lage inmitten Fischbach, anliegende Parkplätze. Das Restaurant hat etwas Patina angesetzt ist aber sauber. Kleine Terrasse vor dem Haus. Typische Speisekarte mit klassischen Angeboten zu günstigen Preisen. Bekannt auch für âForellengerichteâ, die sind dann aber auch etwas teurer. Freundlicher Service.

Ate in the cafe upstairs once then discovered the restaurant around the back. Good food, very busy, little slow on service but that is due to number of guests. Sit outside in the summer and enjoy the lovely garden area. Great little find, worth a visit.

Il posto appare accattivante con un ambiente gradevole, personale gentile, buon tovagliato e ben apparecchiato.Buona scelta di piatti a prevalenza regionale anche ben presentati. Forse mi sarei aspettato di piu nel gusto. Cmq giudizio positivo.

Der "Adler" bietet verschiedene Räumlichkeiten und eine Wintergarten- Terrasse. Die Speisekarte preist typische, regionale Gerichte zu fairen Preisen an. Das Essen ist gut, Chef und Chefin sehr freundlich und bemüht, auch der Service ist freundlich.

As this restaurant is just along the Ostweg hiking route, I stepped in and had a hearty lunch, which consisted of a pretty good Greek salad and excellent roast goose with rosemary potatoes. I have no idea what their menu is like generally, but the Sunday roast offer was very good.

Während einer Radtour habe ich hier auf der Terrasse, die ein wenig chaotisch, aber wohl gerade deswegen gemütlich ist, ein Weissbier und eine kleine Schlachtplatte gegessen. Es war alles lecker und frisch, lediglich das Sauerkraut kommt leider immer aus der Dose, was nicht so mein Fall ist.Die Auswahl auf der Karte ist riesig, es gibt sogar Forellen.Gerne mache ich wieder mal auf einer Durchfahrt hier Halt.

I start with positive sideit is cosy, not overpriced, has nice old german atmosfere, food is also not bad ,of course, simple, but OK , very nice outside terrasse!negative- service is not very good, I got the food that I ordered when everybody at my table was just about finishing eating, and I got NOT what I ordered ! It tasted good but it was not what I wanted !

Schappelstube is great for having some solid local dishes, we go often with the hole family ~15 people and everyone finds his favorite. From Zwiebelrostbraten, over Wild with seasonal chanterelles, homemade Spätzle or Cordon Bleu ... and all served by a friendly and switched on service crew!

We visited this local restaurant twice in the evening. Good range of dishes with a friendly service. The option to sit outside in local village setting is worth considering. We had venison and sea bass for main courses and lamb shank on our other visit. Certainly not the cheapest place with 2 courses and wine at 70 euro but would recommend.
