Waren schon immer wieder mal hier. Es gibt gute deutsche Küche. Leider sind die Preise für ein Dorf wie Essingen etwas zu teuer. Geschmacklich war es gut.

Beautiful location, surrounded by hiking trails in a unique landscape, but within driving distance of the city of Aalen. Good food. Service was good, except for the wifi. When I asked for the password to check on some important business communication, I was told that only overnight guests got to use the wifi, so it's probably not a good place for any business related luncheons/dinners.

It's not an obvious place to find as a tourist since it lacks the usual shiny Neon outside but well worth a visit. You can get local schwäbisch food well prepared. The service is excellent.Need i say more?

We had our first night meal here and were treated to the best food of the area. The food was washed down with excellent Beer and wine served in a really traditional atmosphere. Afurther visit during the day for lunch was equally rewarding.Do not miss this great restaurant.

We stopped in for a late lunch. Arrived 20 minutes prior to closing time for the afternoon. We were seated and had a very nice and cozy lunch. The food was well prepared and came with a traditional German salad that was yummy. They have an interesting collection of antique clocks in one of the dining rooms and a nice collection of a few dolls in a display case. The WCs are downstairs. The restaurant is on the main level.

Bislang kannte ich dieses Lokal nur von Erzählungen. Aber nun....Auf einer Anhöhe im Wald befindet sich dieses Restaurant. Im Sommer kann man herrlich draussen sitzen und die Hügel rings herum betrachten.Unsere Speisen waren frisch zubereitet, geschmacklich sehr gut und reizvoll angerichtet. Es gab auch Speisen, die ich so noch nicht kannte. Die Speisekarte ist groà und hat für jeden Geldbeutel etwas.Service ist freundlich und fix. Lediglich Parkplätze sind etwas rar, da alles im Wald gelegen ist.Kann ich gut empfehlen.

Located in an old brewery, this is the ideal place to meet friends, sample regional authentic food and drink the excellent local beer: die Heubacher.In winter make your way up the stairs for the warm and cosy large barn style room under the roof, while in the summer prefer the beer garden outside.

Each visit to the restaurant is now a great taste experience for us. The combination of ingredients always excites the pallet in some of the most unexpected ways. The fish dish last night was exquisite. The lamb maultaschen and asparagus combined local menus with great flavors. The service is really top class. Always impressive when the service staff great you professionally at the door, remember the table orders and deliver the correct dish to the correct person. The wine list can also be explained and recommendations for the right wine with your meal. Really a great team. Thanks again for a great evening.
